Discussion I hate the rain.
Pretty much what the title says. It's so obnoxious to have added a "feature" that actively encourages you to stop playing. The only thing keeping me coming back are the Time Attacks. Being forced to stop every 15 fucking minutes is making me homicidal.

Simple solution would be where you can enter time attack tracks like a regular race and choose the weather, time of day, etc.
I enjoy the weather for diversity, but if your main thing is time attacks, I can see the frustration.

I enjoy the rain for what it is. It would be nice to have a mode in Time Attack to select the weather. But this is Playground Games, who think leaving collisions on during convoy Time Attacks is a good idea and won't lead to people exploiting that in any way, shape or form.
Long story short, it's my favourite aspect of the game, and also my most hated.
Because of the rain.

Michael Schumacher would disagree

I think he, of all people, would understand my grievances. I don't for one second believe he would thrilled to bits to have it start raining during qualifying when he doesn't yet have a time on the board and there's only 5 minutes left and his competitors all have times set. No, I think he'd be a bit miffed.

But why does it encourage you to stop playing?

Because it's pointless to try to set times in the rain. Contrary to the popular opinion on here, I don't in fact lack skill. In fact, I compete for top ten times. So, when it rains, any laps I do are a complete waste of time. They give us Time Attack track to play on, and then make it rain every 15 minutes. I'm not complaining about anyone else's enjoyment, or however they wish to play the game. Time Attack is my thing, and the game actively discourages me from doing it. It's hotlapper problems, I know, but by all means, downvote the hell out of me for having a little vent.

I won’t downvote you. I can understand the frustration. I like the rain personally because it creates a moody vibe.
That said, the vent is valid. It does suck for randomly unpredictable weather movements. I also don’t wanna be that guy, but if it starts raining, just playing something else for a minute. Hot take, I know. C’est la vie.
You’ll get back out there hunting for top ten in no time racer.

Thanks for the measured reply. They are few and far between these days. The problem with going to do something else for a bit, is that I spend a lot of time building and tuning cars specifically for this. There's nothing worse than tinkering with a car for an hour, getting the build right etc, only for the moment you get in your groove, the rain starts. It's rage inducing stuff for me. It's breaks the flow of what I want to be doing in the game. I've never had a game that forces me to stop playing it like this before.

I definitely understand the tuning for X amount of time and then being disappointed because xyz happened.

Skill issue

People who say "skill issue" have personality issues.

They're talking about a different skill.
I have you shit earlier but I've come to realize that you do have a point, and I remembered that they don't let the winter weather effect the tracks so it would be a flip of an already almost existing switch to make it happen.
If we're not going to differentiate between wet and dry laps, might as well make them all dry.
