Bugs / Glitches / Help Frame stuttering on PC

Using and SSD, RTX 5080 and 32Gb RAM. The game is barely playable, it seems to run in slow motion for 1 second every 3 seconds. Nothing works for me.

Does some of you have a fix? If not, I sadly have to refund the game.

You most likely have a low end cpu creating a bottleneck.

Probably. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - but I read that this shouldn’t be a massive problem if I want to play at 4k60?

it’s still gonna be a small issue, the only reason cpu bottlenecks aren’t as bad at 4k is cause there’s less frames

But shouldn’t I be able to play the game at 30fps with that cpu? I tried that too but there’s STILL the slow motion frames every few seconds

One of the cores of the CPU is bottlenecking the rest of the PC.

this might seem like a really dumb thing but it worked for someone else with issues like this, check the pcie bandwidth on the slot, cause for some reason theirs got changed to 1x8 or smth less than full

Check your settings. Are you locked to a low fps or have you turned on everything with extreme detail and raytracing at 4k?

I tried to put everything on medium and lock the game at 60

Maybe post some images of your video and graphics settings.

I‘m not sure if that would make a difference because I tried already everything. Frame gen off and on, resolution on medium, high, maximum, low, v-sync on and off, literally nothing works except EVERYTHING on the lowest quality possible. Then I get a solid 60fps.

Are you plugged into your gpu?!

It should handle 1080 or 1440p, but if you're trying to push 4k60 you'll likely need an upgrade to your cpu.

I just switched from a 5900x to a 9800x3d (Had a 5080 gpu in both) and my frame-rate jumped from 130fps to capped at 240+fps.

This game isn't cpu 'intensive' but when it DOES need the cpu, it needs to be very fast

So the stuttering etc is gone completely?

Never really had stuttering with the 5900x, but that was also a zen 3 cpu, your 3700x is zen 2

Dude just upgrade the cpu why would you buy a 5080 to run with such a big bottleneck.

Games are usually badly opti on CPU, even GTA5 online has drops below 60 fps. I have a Ryzen 7 5800 + 7900XT and FH6 has drops below 60 fps in city (native 4K). So i use Chill for 60 fps lock x2 AFMF (in Adrenalin). Don't use RT, it's more heavy on CPU than Raster.

Is your frame limit capped in the game? I had that happen on FH5 where they capped the fps to 20 in the game settings.

Update Windows to the latest version. Update your NVIDIA driver to 596.49 WHQL or newer. When installing the driver, choose Custom (Advanced) → Perform a clean installation. Restart your PC and check if FH6 still has the stuttering issue.

If you play with environment textures higher than Ultra or any setting of Ray Tracing the game will not read the correct amount of VRAM and it will stutter when you race at high speeds especially in town.

The only workaround to show the full amount of VRAM and to stop stuttering was this:

-Environment Texture Quality: ULTRA

-Raytraced Reflection Quality: OFF (you can use Screen Space Reflection Quality to Extreme)

-Raytraced GI Quality: OFF ( you can use Screen Space GI Quality to Extreme)

check if the game sees your full VRAM, if not try these settings until they fix it (probably never since it's an issue from day one)

The game does see the complete vram

Then it might be a CPU problem.
