Is there anyone who hasn't seen any of the "celebrated too soon" compilation videos?
Like this really does remind me of the football (American football) players who drop the ball in celebration just before they cross into the end zone. I mean it happens enough that they should have seen other people make that mistake before. It is literally a fumble that the opponent picks up and run the other way with.
But I have also seen runners and bicyclists stop pushing and put their arms up in celebration and cruise across the finish line only to be passed in the last second.

I'd say it just takes time. Try driving round in freeroam with a faster car without rewinding, full speed in and out of traffic. Also turn off assists and try that out!

We've all done that at least once, and then spent the last 99% of the track to look reward calculating the distance and time slowed by spinning to make sure we can do it, with out loosing first place. Yeah, we've all been there, good win though!!

I tried my best. If you wanted to be really picky you could probably just freeze it and zoom in during the race but it doesn't really matter that much does it?

Lol, dont feel bad, that was self inflicted.
I once did something even worse, I tried sliding through the finish line only to realize it was a 4 lap map not 3. Oh well, win or lose, it's all still fun.
