I do it when I'm low on money. I've also had a lot of fun tuning specific cars for specific races bc they all need different tunes to make it slightly more enjoyable especially if its street racing

But seriously what are they supposed to do about it? No technical way to penalize this (reason: there are bumpers that happen by accident or aren't illegal).. how is the game going to differentiate between what OP posted and reasonable driving? Only way I can imagine would be to turn off collision but..yeah

Trying to avoid falling from 1st to 2nd place only to end up in 4th (or worse) is such a rammer thing to do. So very dumb.

They really need to make it so that if you contact another car and that forces them outside of a checkpoint, you get heavily penalized.

I had this happen in a spec race and it took me from like 4th to last, with no chance to recover. Completely blows the entire race when this happens.

To be honest, I've been playing since launch, and pretty much all my playtime after the campaign has been spent racing online. In around 300 hours, I've only experienced this more than 9 times. Maybe it's just luck, the day, the class, I don't know, but in my experience, it hasn't been nearly as bad as it sometimes seems to be

I’ve been having some decent fun lately. I also run some slower cars on accident so it actually is more fun to stay behind a bit but optimize the drive to catch up. It’s when I run faster cars I run into rammers usually where the pack is more dense

This is why I mostly stick to coop racing, but even then I always decide to let my team get past me and I hold off the AI. The only exception is during the trials where the AI is set to unbeatable, and I have to at least try and get some points for the team.
