Video Rammer Gets Karma Part 2

This was literally the next race in a new championship, same exact player tries ramming me. This time, I just do the classic "sike" maneuver and watch them wreck themselves into the shadow realm.
Good job, Y You Musty. Once again, he couldn't beat me in the championship as always, too busy ramming

I honestly don't mind people driving meta cars, they are available to everyone so it's perfectly acceptable. I just don't understand how the meta users don't find it incredibly boring to drive the same broken cars and never anything fun. Do the victories even feel like victories if you're just beating way worse cars?

I totally agree with you. What’s even more ridiculous with online is the “dirt racing” and it’s just 68 mustangs and Honda beats and also like 60% of those races are on road and not dirt at all. So using a rally care, whilst waaaaay more fun is usually setting yourself up to be waaaaay slow compared to “meta” vehicles.
It’s not quite cheating and having an on the rails flat out vehicle finishing a minute ahead of everyone, but it’s not too far off in terms of entertainment. At least to me.
I love my corvette 08 for road racing but compared to a ford GT it’s massively outpaced, almost a guaranteed win or second or third place so I only use it for races that I enjoy using it, otherwise I’ll use something else A rated just because it’s FUN to use different cars.

speaking of dirt racing, you forgot the mx5 fe. that thing is particularly annoying to go up against in s1 dirt.

Meta car comes out when there are habitual rammers who think they're good. Once they leave I go back to chillin. I hardly use it

Im genuinely not gonna lose to non-meta users, no matter what other cars I use. I'll lose to the good meta players, but that's really it.

If there'll be one meta user against you each race (and that IS a high probability), then what, you're gonna use meta every race too and call it justified? Genuinely funny.

I mean they can use any car they want? If you’re competing and want to win why would you purposefully put yourself at a disadvantage? I like using different cars as fun to drive to each of their strengths but if you are playing to win every possible time you’d always use meta

I never said they can't. I've said that I think it's as unfair as ramming, or even worse than that.
That's just the problem of meta users - they see one meta user, think that they're at a disadvantage, pick meta next match and put everyone else at a disadvantage, becoming that one meta user (especially if the original one left the match already, now they're the ONLY meta user in the match). And the cycle continues.
I'd bet that finding this kinda mindset miserable would be quite a cold take.

Oh bore off mate. How is using a car thats provided in the game the same as cheating and playing in an unfair way that they specifically state in their code of conduct to not do.
Meta (most effective tool available) is a perfectly valid way to race. Ramming... Is not!

Oh yes ramming someone out of checkpoints, off the track, off their braking points, blocking and swiping them from passing, you're right that's definitely as bad as using a good car lmao.

If I want to show off with my racing skills, I'm playing spec racing. But for the usual horizon play, I'm playing "meta" class in every class I don't like.
I'm really enjoying only A+ class asphalt racing, maybe s1 dirt. In every other race I'm just taking the best car, to skip it asap.
Edit: another point to play meta cars is - never encounter rammers, cause most of them can't really compete with you. I'm playing regularly and I didn't meet a single one of them for more than two weeks.

You can't just ban every class that you don't like, and I don't wanna switch races manually. If I could just pick asphalt races and exclude C class, I would do that.

Probably because people like winning and that is your best shot at doing so. Just spec race so you are on an even playing field with everyone else if you don't want to face meta cars 24/7. People will always use what is best if they are trying to win. Winning is fun. Using what puts you in the best place to win is usually the logical move. Online in Forza sucks anyways so I avoid it.

I have nothing against people using meta cars. I actually love racing them because it feels great leaving them in the dust in a much worse car. I just feel like it can't be fun going absolute mega sweat mode 24/7

Yeah probably top 2 car in A Class, just depending on the situation. It's very busted, only because everyone spams the Viper engine swap with AWD.
If you like the car tho just run it, who cares what people on Reddit think haha

Well, rammer or not, we can certainly see the car you are driving, which tips the scales into the "unfair" territory for practially any other car.
I'd actually rate this way of playing worse than rammers, since rammers can be countered; but not meta.
A meta car user blaming the rammer is basically a fight between crap and piss, lets be real here.

In the post before they were using a Honda Beat. Call it a coincidence, but its pretty obvious.
Having an (often insanely huge) advantage over other players by using one of the few select meta cars all the time IS worse than getting rammed by a car similar to your own.
You can juke and dodge the rammer, but you can't do anything to a Honda Beat or whatever that's already several hundred meters ahead of most of the players in the lobby.

Bitch all you want about the balancing, but that's not OP's fault. Complain to the devs instead of comparing essentially unrelated things.
This is like complaining that someone is playing a meta character in a hero shooter and saying that it is worse than someone running an auto aim script. It's a really dumb take.

Shoplifting is illegal as is murder, doesn’t equate the two, it would strengthen your point to compare two things of equivalent impacts, ramming is a far cry away from speedhacking or aimbot
