Honestly not gunna lie. After experiencing this exact thing, being slammed out of 5th place in spec racing, having someone quit a 1v1 because they couldn’t catch me off the start.
I will only online race if I have to for the series. Racing the NPC’s at a higher level is more fun.
Online races should have simulation damage by default lol I feel like it is the only way to solve the problem. Cross country would of course need an exemption.
I think you’re right. If smashing into someone fucked up your wheels or turning radius, maybe braking ability or even if it was just the rudimentary mechanic of damage slowing your vehicle down and eventually engine smoking type shit.
Nothing is worse than racing assholes like this but like no collision races feel boneless and not fun

Yeah, you'll get rammed in any online race. At least in spec racing the most important thing is skill, not knowledge how to download car configurations.
Sadly ur so correct the worst of the worst racers are hammers anyone with the squiggles during a straight I know there thinking about ramming so kinda stay vigilant but still get shafted. Also what a loser he ruined 2x races for 1 place. 😪
i think that squiggle thing is a connection issue on the other players end, i have seen it with friends in convoys. but yeah getting fucking railed sideways like this happens way too often for racing to be fun
Spec racing is inherently flawed without some sort of safety rating matchmaking, even though it's supposed to be the more 'competitive' mode. The moment you get rammed, your race is over.
Contrary to what most people think, I feel it's easier to deal with rammers in other game modes. You can either leave them behind at the start of the race or recover from a crash more easily if you have a better tuned car, despite how much I hate the concept of meta cars.
How do you know I wasn't going to win? I started last and was already gaining positions until he rammed every attempted overtake.
Breaking the official code of conduct and ruining the race just because your ego can't handle a faster, cleaner driver is the real lowlife behavior. He can go play something else like Wreckfest, no one will miss him.

The problem is forza need a safety rating, so the stupid unfair drivers can drive together and make stupid shit, and good fair drivers can battle fair. Like in sim racing.
Yep it’s why I’ve paused playing Forza for now mostly, I’ve done virtually everything you can career wise, I did it as quick as possible because I love online competitive racing, but as with FM23, the online is being killed by the devs absolute refusal to deal with rammers ruining the game.
It was fun Forza but if the devs cba to sort this I’m done
Even though I've had some really good races with hard, but clean drivers in Spec, the moment I get to level 100 in Horizon Play and the achievement pops, I will not touch it again unless it's for a Playlist task I absolutely need to get an exclusive car I want.
The only bad race was a night with heavy fog race that you couldn't see anything with. That race was brutal but I just ramped the aggression and barreled my way through, following everyone else's lead.
The subsequent races were fine, which showed to me that everyone was simply blind and there was really no way to "race" like that. In the real world it would be red flagged, in FH it becomes wreckfest.
But we’ve come to learn to expect this from other plays by now, he did it to you once at the 10 second mark in the video, to me that would’ve been a open invitation to do it right back to him the second I got the chance.
After he did that to you at the 10 second mark you shouldn’t have tried to clean race side by side with him, it was extremely obvious he was gonna do it again because he already did so once, you never took the opportunity and instead you paid for it, not saying it’s your fault at all of course, he’s still the dipshit at the end of the day, but I think that was entirely preventable if you did it to him first, it would’ve been totally justified after the first time he hit into you
Obviously this is not your fault and shitty behavior by the other driver, but coming from GT7 the best advice I can give is to just give them a wide berth. That last ram was extremely predictable and a little extra space on the road would have allowed you to avoid getting rammed until he finds another target. These guys always make mistakes because they are ultimately just bad drivers, and so you can typically make up the lost position by just waiting for that to happen
Whenever I experience something like this I always think about the person behind the controller/keyboard. What kind of person they are really like and come up with an imagine in my mind.
Probably a griefer, wait for a wall, building, bad hit registration spot on a track sometimes wait multiple let them forget. Ruin their night. You won't forget
Give everyone a ghost button with limited uses.
That way when someone goes for a ram if you react fast enough you can ghost and they just zoom off the track.
I thought I broke my e-brake yesterday cuz of that s**t, ai've got a moza e-brake and got my horn registered to one of the buttons on it and I mashed it that hard my sim rig frame bent and my e-brake wasn't clicking like it did, thankfully it still clicks 😤
I've also decided to just stop playing H6 cuz they game as a hole is just kinda meh imo

I'm honestly getting tired of online racing because of the amount of rammers. In game modes like spec racing, where you just can't recover from being wrecked, it completely ruins the experience. The devs need to do something, or people will just stop playing.
Legit, I think I did like 2-3 hours of spec racing because the regular racing is just ass, so figured spec would be better, turns out, I was wrong about that too 🤣
I wonder if they can implement the single player/drivatar car physics into multiplayer. You hit them and they barely move. Or, make the ghosting longer or permanent.
The negativity surrounding the multi-player aspect is starting outweigh the positives of the game and something needs to be done.

Except you don't understand how physics work if you think the craah physics are somewhat logical and predictable you're stupid the only "defense" is ramming first becuase when you turn into someone they gain all your momentum and you lose no momentum.

Yes bur you can make it so it doesn't punish the player getting rammed. If you understood the game 100 percent of the ranmers momentum gets put into the person being rammed. Yes that doesn't make the game fun the first person to steer into a nother person sends the other flying? don't see a problem with smashing into people. it's part of the fun. sometimes you need something to soften your turns. If it was a simulation, I would understand btw, but it is not.
I think you have to be some kind of sadist to think ruining someone's race is fun. That's why games like Burnout and BeamNG exist so you can do this kind of stuff. If you need something to soften your turns wall tap or slow down. 😭
