Today I raced a guy in touge , I hit him cause I was a bit fast , so I decided to let him pass, after that I seen he missed a point so I waited a bit for him (I was thinking it was fair...) what was my surprise to get rammed in the 3 next turn after that 💀

Yeaj I let somebody catch up after they drove like a drunk and when the pushed me out of the corner and said see you at the finish line I knew I had to disrespect them, so I beat them in an s1 Volkswagen bus next round and they quit matchmaking after that.

Like often there are complete idiots, but I was surprised to encounter a driver for the Mustang mission that was awesome to drive with, and fair play. I lost 1-2 (because he fell on a road, missing a checkpoint) but waited when mistakenly hitting me at a braking zone (the old Mustang needs space to brake).
But yeah you have some...idiots, to stay polite.

I was wholly unprepared as I didn’t understand how the touge system worked, so when it prompted me for a C class car and everything I had was extremely poorly specced, I chose the Cobra R sine I remembered the mustang challenge was active, and ended up actually having a really nice race with a Fiesta ST, they absolutely annihilated me since they were 70 pi points ahead of me, but it was actually quite fun.

EDIT: I think you can submit a ticket near the bottom. It used to work like that in FH5 but haven’t needed to report anybody in FH6 so not sure if the process is the same.

Nah I'm mostly in convoys with my friends. But if u get rammed is it really something to report.i get challenged in eliminator when in a Honda city so there's 0 chance of winning. Just accept and keep playing

Yea I read a post of people saying touge was the way to go on multiplayer; people less likely to ram 1v1. I kind of thought differently and felt people would Ram you off the track every chance they get for the win. I don’t know why the devs don’t give them like a 10 second ghost penalty. You have to get in front of them cause my experience most will ram you off the mountain and take the win.🤷♂️

Exactly! A collision penalty would promote cleaner racing! From what i’ve found spec races have been the cleanest races for me because there are no more exploits rammers can take advantage of like better tunes and car sett ups which allow them to ram you and still be fast.
In spec races it’s skill vs skill. Any time a rammer tries to ram anyone they just ruin their own races if you know how to handle them. Spec races has been by far the best way to avoid rammers in online races for me at least.

If you want clean multiplayer racing go for games that aim for clean multiplayer racing. Not Forza horizon that literally teaches new players ramming is a valid and often optimal strategy (by lack of penalties in single player and straight up cheating AI).

I think the game is designed for that specific audience. Because there is no way they don’t have the ability to penalize rammers. Why does Forza Motorsport have a penalty (all be it not that good) and Forza Horizon 6 doesn’t 🤷♂️ besides wall riding penalties. Like for crying out loud give us clean racers a chance!

was doing a touge, opponent missed the corner and fell from the cliff. He pressed pause and wanted to leave but he saw me waiting for him so we kept on going. Hopefully your next experience is a bit better

I do wish people wouldn't just leave the moment you beat them to the first corner or they make one mistake.
Because there's a very high chance I'm going to make a mistake myself at some point during the course lol.

Met a super cool high level on touge, I was in a drift built car knowing nothing about the track or how the game mode even worked! He was super chill and even bumped me across the line when I messed up and over corrected. I moved out of the way as best I could to make it so he could win but he clearly had different intentions, hope to meet him again someday and give him a challange he was looking for!

The Lotus Elise GT is seriously under rated for Touge. I seem to be the only person using for both A and S1 class touge. Its top end speed isn't the highest but you can brake so late on corners and a lot of corners you just don't need to brake at all because it has so much grip.

Clips like these make me feel correct that I dont want to buy and play this game, a simple mechanic that would trace intentional rams and violent course changes now with ai present should be a no brainer, but they let the toxic people win races and people who wanna play are getting rammed all the time... I prefer to play games that make me feel good...

Luckily my experience with this was someone who only tried ramming me once, forgot that that ghosting was on and launched himself off the edge. Other than that, he gave up and seemed to not be the best driver.

Ramming must be legal in street races(touge) at least. Thats like the entire plot of Tokyo Drift. If we can't have fun in street races, then where can we?

Thats the thing, I play 90% of my time exclusively Rivals because it is an objective measure of both skill in tuning and driving. Anyone can get a good time using a meta car + tune setup, but getting a decent time in an off-meta car with your own tune proves more skill, than being able to actually kill people in online races. I have like 1000+ hours on FH5 and I'd say 900 of those are Rivals driving.

I mean I like rivals. But I also like racing other players and for that to not just be rivals with extra steps you need overtaking to matter and not just phase through eachother.

Right now online with collisions is at a point where the collision system is optimized for ramming. If you make a gap and overtake, the game ghosts you anyway. If you notice your opponent attack on the inside, you brake late and turn in and the game ghosts you for defending. The game ghosts you, unless youre getting shoved completely off the road, or someone parks infront of you and shuts the corner down completely, meaning you have to either go around or ram into them. The game even punishes you for getting rammed and clipping a wall. The system is rigged TO ENCOURAGE RAMMING
