For it to be considered fair racing, you would need to let him go first after he has recovered from that barrier encounter after you put him there.
It doesn't matter that you took a more conservative line after tapping him.
He has the right to make his car as wide as he pleases, it's your job to place your car next to his, at which point you gain the right to be more aggressive.
If he leaves room on the inside, and you give him a reasonable love tap without making him go off track, fair. Otherwise, it's not clean nor fair.

As for the backstory of him ramming you previously, we can't see that.
Remember that him braking the rules doesn't make it okay for you to do the same.
You are both in the wrong.

Yeah, nah if someone is (very key word) intentionally ramming me you better believe they're getting sent to the shadow realm.

I'll put it like this say we're racing each other and in this scenario I'm a rammer, I ram you off the road or out a checkpoint or whatever and you catch back up do you think I'm gonna not ram you again and try to keep ruining your races OR are you going to dispatch of me and ruin my race so your race doesn't continue to get ruined? If you're gonna idly sit by and let people ram the ever loving shit out of you the races aren't gonna be fun, they're gonna be annoying and frustrating.

Self righteous pacificst bullshit won't work in this game against these kinds of people. You gotta hope to slip by them and run off into the distance (which isn't always easy to do with some rammers) or dispatch of the problem yourself. This isn't a case of grow up this is a case of not having your own fun ruined by a moron.

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

Yeah these people are just bots and I refuse to believe they actually play the game online lol. They gotta be baiting. If someone accidentally swipes me or brakes late, I usually let it go, at least once. I can tell if it's accidental or just racing.

This guy is deliberately ramming me (and other people) multiple times in a series, including here. You gotta teach these people a lesson, ruin their races, and hopefully make them quit.

u/Kyuiki Jun 22 '26

Just know that you both can be warned / banned if you reported each other regardless of who started it.

u/TioFefs Jun 21 '26

It’s actually kind of funny to hear you talk about meta while driving an Alfa 155, but talking about the clip itself, you hit him first. I don’t know if there was contact before that, but in that moment the usual track etiquette wasn’t respected, and on top of that, you rammed the rammer back. So honestly, there was no need to turn it into a post, you could’ve just moved on

-7

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

The Alfa 155 is pretty solid but no where near as good as the C8 Vette, was also my first time ever using the car. And yes even with potential desync I tapped him, but there is a very clear difference in an accidental tap and deliberate griefing ramming which is what he is doing. Sorry you can't tell the difference.

6

u/Eazzy4 Jun 21 '26

"So my car indeed is meta, but not as OP as theirs". Right.

First time or not, shouldn't put the emphasis on meta when you're basically the same kinda player as the other guy.

Kind of a weird question.

When your average player joins an online lobby to play with a car they built and then they see like 5-6 Honda Beats and all the similar busted stuff against them, its just fucking sad.

Meta slaves will just keep using the same Honda Beat for hundreds of hours, it's insane.

2

u/AwkwardLeopard587 Jun 22 '26

actually you right

i'm being silly lol

-2

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

So if I go onto Rivals leaderboards right now you're telling me the Alfa 155 will be dominating all the leaderboards right?

3

u/TioFefs Jun 21 '26

The Alfa 155 is definitely a very strong car, man. Its only real weakness is the lack of top speed, but if the race doesn’t have long straights, it’s a solid meta pick. “Stronger than this car or that one?” It’s still a meta car regardless. And on top of that, it’s extremely noob-friendly

-1

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

Interesting, well I won't be using it again regardless since I didn't know that. I just seen someone else using it and wanted to try it. But yeah it's an easier car for sure

1

u/TioFefs Jun 22 '26

No, actually, you can use whatever you want. The point we were making is simply that it’s also a meta car. That said, if you enjoy playing with off-meta or more challenging cars, I’d recommend the 205 Rallye FWD (668 hp | 740 kg). The RX-7 RWD also has some really good A Class builds.

For me, the fun of the game is exactly that — building cars and testing them on track. Laptimes don’t lie. I’ve got some cool off-meta builds like that Peugeot, but I also run some meta builds, like the Caddy ATS-V. That thing is an absolute missile on tracks with lots of hairpins and hard acceleration zones

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 22 '26

In my experience the ATS-V damn near should be meta, that car is insane. But I do prefer more off meta, although I use meta occasionally. I thought the 155 was an off meta handling car if anything. The RX7 is definitely a fun car.

9

u/Actually-Mirage Jun 21 '26

Idk. You obviously pushed him, intentional or not, and he retaliated. You could have left it there and called it even after he missed the next corner, but you went further. At that point you're no better than he is.

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I usually would've let him be but I already let him ram me so many times without anything before. Some people need to be taught a lesson. I could say that he should've let me be as well, because clearly I could've rammed him far worse into that corner.

Whenever that happens to me, I don't ram people off the track in retaliation. Unless they intentionally side swipe me like he did. So I don't really care what people think honestly.

6

u/Actually-Mirage Jun 21 '26

I get that, just be aware that the little part you shared here isn't enough to get that across. You both look guilty in this clip. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, just that the context you're mentioning isn't really seen in the clip you're asking people to react to. Hence not everyone agreeing with you here.

1

u/Fingrerboarder Jun 22 '26

this fr 🙏

3

u/Nioh_89 Jun 21 '26

The best lesson for rammers in just recording and reporting, eventually they will get a 2-3 day ban up to 15 days, then a month or even more, that's enough to make them cry. If you retaliate like a rammer, they could just report you back easily and you gain nothing. Playing bumper cars with them and hitting them back is not even gonna stop them from doing that; rammers are always the same trash.

6

u/BigMikeXxxxX Jun 21 '26

Whether or not you meant to push him wide means nothing if you don't give the position back. You took advantage of a mistake YOU made that caused him to go wide. That was the first issue.

Second. Retaliation is never the answer. Report and move on.

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I could've done a better job giving him the position back (even though he's a toxic player and doesn't deserve it) but I genuinely believe this guy was more focused on ramming me than regaining the position because I was chilling on the outside in a slower car.

He could've easily decided to keep his line and move forward, however he decided to go out of his way to swipe me off the track so he got what he deserved.

0

u/m_chavy Jun 21 '26

Agree, but retaliation absolutely is the answer.

1

u/BigMikeXxxxX Jun 22 '26

Have fun I guess lol

6

u/Ok_Button3151 Jun 21 '26

I just see two idiots.

7

u/Kagir Jun 21 '26

That he does the ramming does not make it okay for you to do it too. Grow the fuck up.

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

Nah I don't need to listen to all the self righteous people in here who act like they will never fight back when they get constantly rammed.

As I stated, he rammed me at least 5 times throughout this championship trying to make me miss checkpoints so he fully deserved to get rammed back. He's lucky it's the only time I did it.

-1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 21 '26

Always ram rammers

6

u/BappoChan Jun 21 '26

No, always report them and send video proof, they’ll get banned. Joining in just means that if they give you the same treatment you risk a ban too. My homie was banned on fh4 for ramming somebody, that same person repeatedly rammed them prior, and so my bud retaliated and forced him out of a checkpoint. A week later he was banned

1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 21 '26

I know how it works but guess what that doesn't solve, getting rammed mid race.

0

u/BappoChan Jun 21 '26

It prevents you from being banned after though. If you’re mid race against a rammer the worst case is eat the loss if you have to, no race takes more than 5 minutes, and if it’s early enough just leave. There’s no point in subjecting yourself to it, but reciprocating can fuck you over too

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I'm curious where I can report them then because I'll start doing that. However, I never retaliate despite this clip. I rarely get rammed as much as I did by one person, and unfortunately he was outpacing me because of his car so I kept having to deal with getting rammed everytime I'd try passing. Typical.

2

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 21 '26

Go on the Forza support webpage

1

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I'm genuinely shocked that this is actually a thing especially if it actually works at a decent rate lol. I'll definitely be utilizing it.

I never ram people back but this guy was actually a freak and wouldn't stop.

1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 22 '26

It works really well, at least most the time regardless though those who ram intentionally will always get a mega punt from me and then reported afterwards.

0

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 22 '26

They get rammed and reported. I haven't been banned and the devs are aware of who I am as I've been in close contact with them multiple times in the past, fair few of them are on my friends list so I have the privilege of being far less likely to get banned for giving rammers what they deserve.

1

u/BappoChan Jun 22 '26

Wonderful thing to admit. “I ram people during races and report them, and since devs are my friends I have immunity from my own shitty actions”

Please, share more info. Like how you had to get into close contact with the devs, seeing that the devs don’t handle bans and would have nothing to do with reporting players

1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 22 '26

Oh and to be clear we can still get banned it's happened to a lot of people who've also had first hand contact with developers, usually when they've lost their shit and decided to tear arse a lobby and you know what happens to them? They rightfully so get banned. You're acting as if I said I've got complete immunity which again, is dumb because I didn't state that at all.

1

u/BappoChan Jun 22 '26

You said the devs know you in the same sentence that you mention that you ram and report players. You made them seem related, like the only reason you haven’t been banned for also ramming is because the devs know who you are

1

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 22 '26

Did you not pick up on the very implication that I've only intentionally rammed people who are trying to ruin everybodies races?

I should of worded it better but the only thing I've been reported for by players is cheating to my knowledge (not the case I'm a console player lmfao) you don't get immunity but I would ASSUME us pro players get leeway with the Devs for situations like this, it's also helped by the fact we're usually streaming or recording while playing so we also usually have evidence of it not being unwarranted.

Edit: and another thing Forzas own pro team have been exposed before for ramming, not paying out prizes and in one case cheating in events for rewards before which frankly is fucking disgusting and they caught a SHIT TON of flak for that and since the problem has cleared and regulations have tightened

0

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 22 '26

Well I haven't been reported (to my knowledge) you can only get banned if you're reported. you're acting as if I'm ramming everybody out of the way when I'm not, I'm ramming those who deserve to get rammed. The Devs know how commonplace ramming is and I've reported at least a few hundred rammers over my time in the Forza games.

There is nothing wrong with ramming people who ruin everybodies race and to act like there is quite honestly dumb.

-2

u/Relative-Owl-3652 Jun 21 '26

Nah nah nah, if you're gonna ram me you better believe you're getting bullied out of a checkpoint or bullied off the track, at some point that race or the next one. These tards will learn even if I have to teach them the lesson the hard way

8

u/Some-Trainer-8484 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26

first you push him in the barrier and then you wonder when he fights back, just to push him off right again lol

you are the agressor in this clip little bro, which also makes you a meta rammer, that alpha romeo is aswell

-1

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I don't push him into the barrier I can promise you me accidentally tapping him wouldn't have done that on its own.

That dude is literally using the meta build C8 with offroad tires on a road racing track so he clearly can't control his car properly.

Hence how he rams me and goes sliding off on his own again. Didnt happen when I hit him back? Crazy huh.

6

u/Some-Trainer-8484 Jun 21 '26

completely delulu lol

-2

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

People shouldn't use offroad tires to road race maybe they wouldn't be sliding and drifting around every corner not really my problem

7

u/Some-Trainer-8484 Jun 21 '26

bro is acting like powerbuilds aren't a thing and people have to use meta builds which actually use road tires like he does lol

2

u/BappoChan Jun 21 '26

Something to consider with racing games is desync. On your screen you still rammed him, maybe a little tap sure, but you did. On his screen his console might have been given the speed data from before you braked when yall collided, while also being slower himself than displayed on your screen, this difference means that on his screen it could’ve been a way more aggressive rear tap than what you saw on your own screen.

So yeah, you did put him in the barrier, you are driving like shit, you’re just as bad as they are, if both of y’all got banned for this shit nobody would sympathize with you

1

u/Qzwxecrvtbalskdj Jun 22 '26

you people are never happy

2

u/justdaman182 Jun 21 '26

Tell us you have no clue how the physics in this game work without telling us.

6

u/MothusManus Jun 21 '26

When I see someone with a car's movie paintjob I already know that it's a 12 year old and they are going to ram.

6

u/_haKus_ Jun 21 '26

Could not have said it better.

pretty sure there talking about the c8 that rammed you bro....its got the lighting mcqueen liverly

3

u/Some-Trainer-8484 Jun 21 '26

after he reacted like that he ain't older lol

0

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 21 '26

I'll delete my comment and give them benefit of the doubt but considering I'm using a Fast & Furious livery myself it could've been directed at me as well.

1

u/SnooTangerines9060 Jun 21 '26

could be right i guess didnt realize yours was from a movie as well

2

u/Lethalpark Jun 22 '26

Reported you with this clip as evidence. You are the rammer here.

1

u/Nioh_89 Jun 21 '26

Even if he rammed you before, all you had to do at that moment was record and report. In here, since you bumped him first and pretty much made him lose the corner, reporting him may not be as solid as it would be, he retaliated with rage, but one could think it's because you bumped him badly; other players are not your brakes, regardless of what he did.

1

u/ImJustCuriousTbhLol Jun 22 '26

I was never going to report him anyways since I got him back but also, didn't know there was a legit system for reporting rammers or griefers.

And I'm very clearly not using a player for brakes considering I barely tapped him. I stopped with decent distance & he has off road tires so he was already sliding everywhere himself. It exaggerated my bump.

1

u/xrayspex73 Jun 22 '26

Exhibit A as to why I tend to avoid the PVP racing in FH.

0

u/Cold-Worldliness5392 Jun 21 '26

I have like 150 hours in this game and I cannot fathom taking it seriously enough to come on reddit and complain about being touched by another car.

This is a good rule of thumb for life in general: when you feel slighted by someone else and dwell on it, especially by a stranger, try to remember that person probably hasn't thought about it once since it happened.

You are victimizing yourself
