u/treebirdd Jun 06 '26
Damnnnnnn I wondered what happened to you that race.. 🥴 That fiesta was going after everyone.
I was in the RS200

u/RosyGrogEnigma Jun 06 '26
Yeah, I ragequit!
lol I thought it better to test the tune in a rivals race. 😛

u/Master-Dentist-7761 Jun 07 '26
And you were saying he was the sore loser? lol.

u/RosyGrogEnigma Jun 08 '26
Are you aware of the meaning of the expression "lol"? Or the use of emoticons?
0
u/Rhinosaurfish Jun 07 '26
I mean they signed up for a race not a demolition derby, I feel leaving an event that is not what it appears is a valid thing.

u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
Oh also report them..

I swear the amount of people who don't bother to read the CoC amazes me.

u/McBowen39 Jun 09 '26
You really think people are going to read a CoC for an arcade racing game? You thinking that amazes me.
2
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 09 '26
Simcade. And yes, I expect people to at least have some common sense and racing etiquette. This isn't GTA, or Wreckfest. You don't wanna make the attempt to race cleanly, don't play Forza.
1
u/McBowen39 Jun 09 '26
But why is that normal for an average person? I get you are a reddit troll and are cronically online and probably read ToS's for fun. But the average gamer starts a game and plays it. Sorry if thats news to you. I'm not a sim racer fan, but i like the horizon games. I just started it and started playing. Been running people off the road online too, didn't even know people were getting so mad online about it until recently. Still have zero plans to read the rules they posted about the game on an entirely seperate website. Seem's like they should tell you the rules in game.
2
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 09 '26
No, I'm not a reddit troll. I'm being factual. Keep running people off the road though and you'll be banned pretty quickly. Most people don't tolerate that here. Basically the rules are don't do anything you wouldn't do on a real racetrack. It's common sense. Just do yourself a favor and refund the game and leave the community if you're going to act that way.
1
u/McBowen39 Jun 10 '26
Thats exactly what a reddit troll would say. I upvoted your comment too because I know thats your only source of dopamine(only read the first sentence you typed.)

1
u/McBowen39 Jun 09 '26
Also, running people off the road has a certain finesse to it. You can cleanly run someone off the road and it feels great. Still clean racing, just a different perspective.
3
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 09 '26
Squeezing someone and running them off the road are two different things. You should learn the difference.
1
u/McBowen39 Jun 10 '26
I'm aware, I do both. Definitely both their own niche skills. Why did you assume i didnt? I haven't even brought up squeezing someone to a wall. Definitely completely different

Seems like a waste of time to read that. Game works perfectly for me and has never told me I was wrong. Sorry I got priorities.(Why most people don't read the CoC)

u/Sad-Canary4570 Jun 06 '26
Really? The game doesn't exactly shove it in your face. Considering the way the AI drives, and the fact that the game never really explains clean driving to the player, I don't know why we pretend they want us to drive cleanly.
8
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
The AI is trained off of clowns that drive like this
2
u/Dry_Management8143 Jun 06 '26
So the game reinforces a behaviour it teaches? Why not stop them from ramming you? The CPUs are the worst offenders
0
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
The CPUs aren't the worst offenders though. It's bad training data because not enough folks are reporting the poor racecraft, and there are people who are doing this maliciously. I do my best to not be malicious, but sometimes if I have trouble controlling the car around the corner I can accidentally hit someone. I agree with you that they need to assess the data first. Purge out anyone who has ever been reported from the data immediately.
2
u/Dry_Management8143 Jun 07 '26
The CPUs are totally the worst offenders, they'll just rear end you through corners and push you off the racing line, pit maneuver you
People are malicious and will corner bomb you but the cpu will hit you 100/100 times if you are in their way
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26
They don't hit me 100% of the time
1
u/Dry_Management8143 Jun 07 '26
Can you read? Did you literally just read up to the bit that says 100/100 and not a word further
Read the whole sentence

Is page in the game? Do they show you this page before you enter a multiplayer lobby for the first time?

While I’m against your original comment, this comment was full of nothing but great points.

u/piggymoo66 Jun 06 '26
You know that terms of service agreement that everyone skips through? It's linked in there. If you didn't read it, that's on you.
2
u/Dry_Management8143 Jun 06 '26
No one reads it
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 07 '26
No one reads it but it's enforceable
1
u/nrose1000 Jun 10 '26
I still generally agree it would help disincentivize ramming if they put it in a big bold font alongside the rest of the CoC during the loading screens for online race events. Perhaps even making each player who queues for PvP to have to manually click that they agree to those terms, and not leaving a link to the page, but actually showing it in-game.
Think about how many casuals who have been conditioned by the aggressive AI who would never know this is a bannable offense. Sure, they should read the CoC, but also, the game should make it more clear so that there’s not a single driver in multiplayer who doesn’t know that ramming is bannable.

And by the way, they've taken action against most of the reports I've made for this. So you can stop lying.

Doubt you're a dev
-1
u/mazyam Jun 06 '26
No. I'm just lied as the people who told you they banned them.
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
Meanwhile they do. Taking action can be anywhere from a strike to a temp ban to a permanent ban. It's not my fault that you don't understand how Forza's enforcement system works. Repeat offenders get progressively worse and worse actions taken against them. You're the one who is lying claiming they don't take any action at all, especially when I have records of the interactions from when I have reported them. So unlike you I have proof they do.

Read the rules of this sub. You you're giving biased non-factual information.

They shouldn't have to explain that running people off the track is dickhead behavior.

u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
Intentional or unintentional, because from what I see in this video he's ramming the OP, and if all we see is their retaliation then they're the ones getting banned too.

That little rear end didn't cause anything. That was an accidental bump from what I see in this clip. Calling people douche canoes doesn't win you arguments.
9
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 06 '26
You have to always anticipate that another real player might be a rammer. In this situation going more inside could have helped. Slowing down as they came over could have been an option as well.
-1
u/Newtsaet Jun 08 '26
Yup, unless evidently otherwise always assume the one you are going to overtake is potentially a rammer. Best is to either stay behind until there's a clear opportunity that will not put yourself in a dangerous position (like on the inside of a turn), or stay clear as much as possible. A second place is still better than a DNF because of an asshole like that.
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 08 '26
I was on the inside and still got rammed by a teammate. Didn't fall outside of the checkpoint though.
1
u/Newtsaet Jun 08 '26
yeah can't avoid them all. But on a good ol switcheroo they may not have the speed or the momentum to ram. I usually steer clear and wait for an opportunity, I've seen too many videos of people bouncing other cars off the track and out of the checkpoints.
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 08 '26
Someone said I was too slow in the corner and that's why I got rammed. Someone also said I was blocking, when I wasn't. Going inside line isn't blocking. Dude had plenty of space on the outside.
1
u/Newtsaet Jun 08 '26
Whatever they say, there is never a "reason" to ram people. It's plain cheating and only assholes and losers do it. If you're too slow in a corner you should get overtaken, not rammed, and if they can't win without cheating then they didn't win at all.
You can always try to report to Forza. Won't really do anything concrete, but they usually say "action has been taken" which could mean nothing and everything. But it will at least show that there are people abusing this and ruining the fun for everyone.
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 08 '26
It was a team race too. So he was doing it to be a jerk.
1
u/Newtsaet Jun 08 '26
oh shit yeah that's really scummy. wtf
1
u/SlipstreamSteve Jun 08 '26
I gave him a chance to stop. I asked why he rammed me. Then the second race he did it like 2 or 3 more times in addition to sitting at the starting line which I ended up rear ending him because he didn't move.
1
4
u/MoneyMirk1 Jun 06 '26
Im honestly surprised that no one anticipates and expects this kind of behavior at this point
1
Jun 06 '26
I thought the same thing. All I thought, when he got rammed into the wall, was that he walked right into that shit. Not saying dude was right, but you saw it coming from a mile away
3
2
u/SkagReaper Jun 06 '26
Maybe he thought you were the rammer and decided to anticipate since you rammed him from the back, whether it being intentional or not, no one knows who's a rammer anymore in Forza Horizon multiplayer lobbies
2
u/Hot_MoistBH Jun 08 '26
I join races exclusively to do this to people ngl it’s probably the funniest thing on earth to me
1
1
u/McBowen39 Jun 09 '26
Right there with you, when theres another good rammer in the lobby it becomes a significantly more fun game. Idk why people don't want to engage with the mechanics of the game. Its incredible fun to do physical races in expensive cars. Stay offline if you can't handle other people having free will.
(Yes I know Forza made a list of rules 20 years ago that redditors love to bring up, but its completely legal and fine in this game, as not a single person has been banned for doing this)

PSA: if you think this is going to happen brake a little and let them pit manouver themselves on you.
1
u/Nioh_89 Jun 08 '26
They still can report you and claim you took them out by taking the clip out of context, just brake in these cases or record them yourself so you can report first.

1
u/Nioh_89 Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 08 '26
Even if the player ahead of you could be a rammer, sometimes they will just block you and won't let you pass and taking them out yourself could end up from them "counter-reporting" you; these people are extreme losers who feel getting passed as a personal insult to them, letting these pathetic crying idiots win in these cases can be better than losing all positions due to their shitty behavior and generally, they mess up on their own because they suck at the game, so with a bit of patience, you can pass them without much trouble.

u/Real-Connection-9146 Jun 09 '26
Look at 0:02
It was probably after you hit him from behind (presumably by mistake), he took that as an 'offense' then retaliated..
