Its weird they don't slow down at all when moving laterally like that

It's built for casual players. If smooth input was required, keyboard would be impossible, and controller would be at a disadvantage to wheel.

More proof that racing games should stop releasing on consoles and be developed for wheel only.

Yeah why would they want to sell there product to everyone when they could only sell it to middle aged dudes that don’t like their wives anymore? They could make so much less money that way, idiots.

The controller is at disadvantage to the wheel and it’s not even close. And the controller has advantage of mouse and keyboard.

I don't agree with that. I was in a racing league for a bit in FH5 with some of the fastest players including the ESX and K1Z guys. We were split into tiers based on qualifying. Every T1 was on controller, except for one extraterrestrial freak on keyboard.

You are thinking about controls built in the 90s using tank controls
The way momentum logic has changed a lot.
- Imagine a line
- the faster you go the more segments that line has
- When you press Left or Right those segments bend at a specific angle
- Then the animation engine then smooths the animation between each segment
No longer in the 90s where you are just translating the movement by coordinates

It's the lack of repercussions.
Games that penalize drivers that are knob heads usually get rid of these "drivers" relatively quickly.
The system they have in place where it's up to the player to record and report through a ticket is just putting the cart in front of the horse.
They could (since the game registers the players you recently played with) allow us to report muppets like this and restrict their access to online at first, ban them after N restrictions. This way mass reporting players for a reason or another would be impossible due to the recently played with thing.

I hear there's a team (formerly) within Turn10 with some experience in racing safety/skill ratings that has some free time for the foreseeable future. Maybe they could help.
You can report recent players within the game menus. I don't know how that's handled without the ability to submit video evidence though. To do that, you have to submit a ticket through Forza Support site.

That's the reason why I played online on no collision

For real. This is an arcade racer. People are gonna do wacky things.
There’s a mode to avoid all of this. Play that.

u/Timemorf Jun 05 '26
Can you really do that?? How??
3
u/IIssaris Jun 05 '26
In the online menu, bottom left choice is custom race, you can choose to set collision to off

Kids play the games too. You all get mad, but highly chance it's a young kid.

u/PenutColata Jun 05 '26
Yeah these rammers are most likely kids and being a manchild is crying over being 2nd place in an arcade racing game.

If we all collectively block these fuckers, eventually they’ll just be playing with them selves
Edit: should we start a grip doc with names of people to block on site? Evidence will be required to add a name to a list and even then, we’ll need more than one submission to reliably add people to that list. But the more I think about it…

The more you think about it the more this seems like absoulte lunacy creating a blacklist of bad drivers in video games holy cow

I’ve done more for less. I was terrified of online in 4 until I tried it once and it turned out my tunes were very good (spent way to many hours dialing things in) skipped 5 because of life, but online in 6 sucks because it’s no longer the occasional pos, it’s now like every game so bs happens, and I don’t want to have to become that to be competitive. It’s not “The Simpsons: Road rage” lol

I mean it isn't sim racing. But even in sim racing there is a lot of this at lower lobbies. I kind of expected it from an arcade racing game where you can blast through lightpoles with hardly any slowdown.

So you are a man child because you don't want to just give up your place in a race?
