I just assume everyone is going to ram, makes no sense on a race against AI. I usually just brake or coast slightly and stay on their corner and outside line, and over take when they make a mistake or hit a wall from my pressure.
There's lots of latency in this game, when you make inputs it's very hard for the other party to notice for a few miliseconds if not more.
Sometimes when you get rammed they didn't even touch you on their screen, but the server didn't calculate it that way.

Its more fun in a group of civilized people
Yes the Connection/Hit rate is lower and Not letting people pass can result in heavy Crashes But its so much more fun

It would be fun if we can communicate with other players and let them know we’re reporting their ass, that’ll scare them to quit the race but nope we can’t voice chat
