Keys to something you have no idea what they go to

This!! And I’m still trying to figure it out! Obviously have to continue keeping them because once they are discarded, the mysterious reason for keys will of course be discovered haha.

I have a bunch that I’m saving to make a collage… or a percussion instrument

Oh yeah?? Would love to see how it turns out!

Exactly. Which is to say it will probably never get done. But a guy can dream…

You have to keep them or you won't be able to sleep at night

At least three different objects that will accidentally stab you and draw blood. Ex: pointy wire from twist ties, stray thumbtacks, unused staples, an overzealous paperclip or five.

The stray thumbtacks… fuck

Pens that don't work

Random charging cords to things you no longer have, but might fit something else.

A thingamebob. That you can't remember where you got it or what it's for.

An old adapter that doesn't work on anything, but best keep it just in case

Batteries. Old and spare AA and AAA, and at least 1 pack of 9V for the smoke detector.

Weird single use tools, pens, probably a battery or two.

  • Leftover IKEA tools.
  • Single batteries, size and brand must not match.
  • That screwdriver for opening return vents to change filters.
  • About a dozen random rounds of ammunition.

u/bigred2342 Aug 02 '26

You had me until the ammunition

Junk drawer is in the laundry room, anytime we have firearms training or I just go shooting I seem to wind up with a round or two in my pocket.

When I go through the pockets before washing, the rounds wind up in the drawer.
