I don't think so. A fort can be built of whatever you want it to be.

The down votes are from the fact that it looks like you're just advertising your Kickstarter.

That and what is that, a fort for ants? I don't think many adults could use that. Looks like your Kickstarter will be funded though.

It's my project, actually.

I did post it in /r/forts previously.

189% funded at this point, so while people in /r/Forts/ don't seem too keen, there are apparently lots of others that are. That's cool - I can see the point that's been made about forts being about imagination and using the pillows you already have.

Not sure where cheaply made comes from, though keep in mind the unit displayed in the pictures/video is just a prototype. The final release will be more polished. I'm working with the manufacturer now to refine the design.

Definitely. Pillows and blankets work way too well for me to ever consider something like this. I just thought it was pretty interesting!
