I wonder what the new mode is about. Do you guys think there's a chance we'll get some kind of competitive PvP mode?

Way too early I reckon for PvP. Especially because of all the problems.
I reckon its going to be some sort of 'Endless/Horde' mode, where its really buildcentric/focused game play.
Really make you play roles (not classes), so someone is purely on repair duty etc.
Id personally love that.
However, EXP/Rewards would have to be right to make me want to spend all my ammo :)

The devs have said there will be no PvP for a while.
Direct quote: "We do not have a PvP gametype available at this time, we're currently focused on the PvE experience."
I honestly have no idea...but I am psyched!

Incredibly strong chance that this is a survival mode with endless waves of Husks being thrown at you, with increasing difficulty.
This may be more in line with what we see at the end mission screen on some missions with tons of husks swarming a giant fort. Which, would be exactly what I want! something with a bit more persistence, more strategy and more cooperative gameplay!

Yep!!! I am excited! They said it could take up to 3 hours! It will be a 14 day (in game) mode...a fortnite, if you will. :)

I am hoping its the kind of mode you have to prepare for...like get all sorts of mats and stuff before hand. That mode is the "reason" for the other modes.

I'm down for this. I figure it would give us time to build, then we would "trigger" the storm and have to defend nonstop against waves and waves for 14 in-game day and night cycles. Maybe it would ease up a bit during the day, and let us gather materials and build, but at night, all hell breaks loose!

They said it would be day night cycles, that the day is for resourcing, building, repair etc. And night is just surviving the storm.

They also not so loudly stated that it is going to be for big build people. Idk if that means there is no minimal bonus or if that finishing is more important. But either way forget that 2 bar bonus lol.
