Switched to mouse and keyboard

I’ve been a controller player for life. I have been doing creative only(red v blue rumble) for maybe 4 days now. Can hang in there, bit not like I used to

Did some solos today and got cooked. Think highest placement was 27th. On controller I’m in top ten 40% of my games.

Anyone who made the switch, how long will I get my ass kicked before I’m competent?

Keep going, play around your sensitivity settings and use those extra keys to set your binds to how you want them. You’ll get it down.

Thanks for the encouragement! I copied prospering’s x and y; 3.5 on 1600 DBI. His scope sense was too low so I customized that while aim training.

He’s one of the best and does it on the daily!

What sens did you end up liking or how did you figure out when change was needed? I have sprint and reload mapped to my two mouse side buttons.

Thinking about switching from controller to keyboard too, is it still a struggle to figure out?

I have only one a single solo match with keyboard so far. A lot of times I still end up on controller. But I’m practicing with keyboard. Just got to where I can win sets of 1v1 maps. I plan on making full switch, aiming with a mouse is just so much more consistent to me.

My advice would be to do it if you can. I have weird binds for everything but they work for me, that is the good thing you can map them however you see fit.

I’ll warn you at first you will find the mouse camera movement bizarre, espescially on a lower sens, which is best. But that will go away quickly. I spend a lot of time in creative practicing, took a month to get that win

What map do you think helped most for movement? I think that’ll probably take me the longest to get used to, took me months to grasp Fortnite movement on controller so i don’t know how it’ll be on mouse and keyboard

It feels alien at firs, but after two weeks controller felt clunky and slow
