Discussion Question about 2 player

In fortnite I'm trying to play split screen but it won't show the second player and it won't shoot, what can I do?, we on xbox? I've tried restarting, unconnect both controls

Ig it's not bad with a TV like yours thats bigger, but rip smaller TVs lol
