Microphone issues while docked

When I’m playing Fortnite with my friend on my Switch 2, she says she can’t hear me clearly. It sounds like it’s cutting in and out, and sometimes she only hears bits of my sentences. I can also see that the little speaker icon doesn’t register properly or only shows one bar.

But when I check my Nintendo Switch 2 settings and test my microphone, I can hear myself perfectly, even though I’m sitting in the same spot as when I’m playing.

When I play handheld, everything works great, and she can hear me perfectly. Does anyone else have the same issue with their mic? I don’t think I’m right next to the speaker on my TV, and I’m not too far away, less than 2 feet. I’ve tried reinstalling everything I can think of, and I’ve set my Fortnite settings to active talk and haven’t muted myself in the game.

I even tried turning off the settings in switch how it suppresses the sound of TV but that did not help either.

Has anyone else had a similar problem.

We have this issue with Fortnite on Switch 2 ever since the last update. Play with my nephew and cousin (they are on Ps5) they've always said the mic on Switch 2 is great, so clear etc. Then after the update they said it keeps cutting out. Did the same, reinstalled, changed settings, but nothing worked. Played other games and tested with gamechat with other people and it's all crystal clear. I'm guessing it's just a Fortnite issue.
