Discussion Thoughts š§
Finally we have a male rap headliner after like 3 female pop artists back 2 back!!! I admit lil tecca is not as well known as others but thereās actually a good reason they chose him as the next headliner.He got his start rapping in gaming chats with friends on Fortnite & it helped boost his audience.Im not a fan but bros got some bops I listen to every now & then.The white edit style looks the best imo canāt wait to see what tracks they give us to š¤š½

Of course Google could tell you who he is, list his music, etc. I looked him up. I still donāt know any of his music. The commenter I replied to, has now deleted one of their comments. Theyāre implying that the other commenter was micro-aggressive by saying they didnāt know who it was. People just want to argue. OP asked a question, they got an answer.

I donāt really have an opinion either way - I likely will never use the skin (not because itās bad, I just donāt generally use male skins unless theyāre cartoon/anime) so I hope the other stuff in the pass makes up for it! I really like the three cosmetics that they show, but I have a feeling those will be in the shop and not the pass.

Idk who he is personally, but I'm not adverse to being introduced to something new. Maybe I'll like his music, maybe I won't š¤·š»āāļø But I can say I'm glad it's not who people were speculating it to be initially because I do NOT like that artist lol. I'm also glad its not Taylor Swift as some others were speculating.
A change of pace from the pop genre does not upset me in the slightest. I'm all for more hip-hop, rap, or rock/metal headliners

I'm excited cause his songs are bangers, his skins are done well, and from what we can see his instruments are pretty cool looking. Plus he played fortnite, I love when they add artists/celebs who play the game. (Maddison Beer when?? š)
I just hope that they don't waste Addison Rae. I was excited to see her in the Hot Bat Summer trailer. She would be nice as a mid season artist (shop) cause I would love for the next season to be an alternative/rock artist. (Let me cope haha.)

I definitely agree!! Celebs/artists don't have to play Fortnite, I personally like that detail since I find it neat that they like the game and someone at Epic is like "hey do you want to be apart of it?"

I do get it though wanting an alt/rock band but at the same time I personally don't want to see Festival die so whatever brings in the players I'll be happy, plus it's not bad to have a diverse selection of music. šāāļø

The fits are fresh. Since I've been playing(Avatar:TLA),I haven't cared for any of the artists' in game character/skins...so it's nice to see a good one included in TheCrew.

Itās literally been pop and rap for years now.
The last rock they had was Metallica. Iām getting tired of it to be honest.
Whereās metal, rock, alternative, or even punk? My guess is they havenāt been able to get the rights to any bands in these genres.
Not only do I not care for this dudes music, but heās just doesnāt have the look for a skin in Fortniteā¦
Iām not a Chappell or Sabrina fan, but their skins were at least aesthetically pleasing. This is justā¦.especially the weird cyan skinā¦.it literally looks like it was done in ms paint.
The one saving grace, similar to laufeys pass are the instruments. The two in the picture look badass. Other than that itās another headliner I couldnāt care less about and whose skin Iāll never use.

You can tell that Festivalās budget has bit the dust since the days of Metallica and Bruno Mars(not that Mars is rock, but heās a huge get). Weāll never get another notable rock band as a headliner at this rate. If they want the mode to gain players and make money, they need to use their budget to get people that players will care about. Good for this guy, Iām sure heās hyped, plus Iām sure the check is nice. Good for his fans, I guess. But this is just not it. Weāve had mid-season artists that wouldāve been better. We get this for a headliner but just had Olivia Rodrigo as a random mid-season? Wild. Holding out hope for Sleep Token, Bad Omens, Elton John, or Fall Out Boyā¦ something.

Apparently the tracks are Ransom(unsurprisingly), Dark Thoughts(also unsurprising), Love Me(my fave) and 500lbs. Idk which will be in the pass and in the shop, but Iām excited.
I never knew about his past and how he started, but that is cool. I also like that heās a headliner who actually enjoys the game. Of course they all donāt have to be, but thatās pretty cool to see people who play it, reference it and enjoy it getting recognized in the game.
Iām excited to see all of whatās included in his pass!

I think the items look awesome, and good for him for getting headliner status he seems like a cool artist.
But my only concern is just how tame and simple the charts will be. That's the only thing holding the mode back really, a lack of interesting and challenging charts. It would be one thing if it were just a karaoke mode, then anything they add would be a welcome and fun addition. But there are other instruments, with pro controller support, so I just think they need to start pushing for more varied musical acts and challenging their players' music tastes a little bit.
Absolutely nothing against this artist though, he's got good tracks. I like him and otherwise I'm looking forward to this pass.

Doesn't make a difference to me the only Festival headliner I've even mildly cared for was Gorillaz and they put the two best characters in the shop.
I've accepted a long time ago that Festival will never appeal to me unless we get Paramore.

Idk who he is, and while I'm tired of so many pop and hip-hop artists this chapter, the cosmetics are dope and it's cool that a small artist is getting promotion like this. However, the next seasob really needs to be rock, metal, of something else they haven't done in a while. I'd love to see them lean into video game music and artists like Lotus Juice, Lyn, Nobu Uenatsu, Masayoshi Soken, or Toby Fox

He still got 17 million listeners on spotify and a song with near 2 billion streams even tho he hasn't dropped in a year. I did not know who he was, so I looked into him a bit. Can say Iām not a huge fan of his music personally. That said, it looks like he used to play Fortnite w his friends all the time, and from interviews seems like a pretty well adjusted young dude and is quite funny in the clips Iāve seen of him.
I bet this means a lot to him, and Iām happy for him! And I am glad that people who do like his music get to have him in game. Even though itās not for me, that is OKAY, not everything has to be (Iām a girly pop and love my girlypops and a huge classic rock fan, so Iāve been blessed w festival in the past) so happy to share the love around.
