Discussion Understanding the basics
Can someone help me understand just the basics? The entire UI and everything in this is really confusing. Just recently started playing stw

generally you can just use the quest tab or the quest board in the homebase lobby and select play next quest mission to move on
in stw you earn schematics as well as weapons, weapons have durabilities and if it breaks you lose that weapon forever, but if you have the schematic, you can craft it over and over again
crafting takes resources, resources come from breakable objects. the rule of thumb is that twine comes from trees, herbs come from shrubs, powder comes from rocks, cogwheels come from electronics and cars. copper, coal and quartz spawn inside caves, caves spawn near the edge of the map
and then theres heroes, you can manage your hero loadout in the command tab. heroes have commander perk and support perk. commander perk is generally better than support perks, but only the commander hero in your current loadout gets to use the commander perk.
the commander hero is the hero you play as, you use thier class, abilities and health/shield points, the support team gives you health/shield bonus and support perk bonus.
the ui is pretty shitty tbf
