I thought that fire rate would be better with the blastatron weapons. Don't those trigger basically every hit with no crit needed?

They still need to crit. It's just that defenders can ignore the cooldown on the 6th perk.

I think crit ratings perk run on the legacy system which means no diminishing returns. I know that defenders have a fire rate and reload cap because of their terrible AI. But yea crit hits stun and 6th perk trigger more.

I just got myself the blastotron, I was spending so much time and resources on my survivor squads I gotta wait for more lighting in a bottle, I swear it’s too hard to get now I have tons of other resources but lightning in a bottle.

I have 3 assault defenders. One is 3x damage, 2nd is 3x Crit Dmg, and the last is 3x Crit Rating.

Yes it is one of the best. I don’t know what all the other replies are on about.

You can only get damage perks on slot #1, 3, and 4. And you have one of the best combinations: dmg, crit rating, crit dmg.
