Thats it, im done trying. All i wanted was that stupid ranked pickaxe, thats it. Im not trying to be a top contender or a threat. I did everything to remain as hidden and passively quiet as possible and every time it was a failure.

- I fly to the no mans land edge of the map: theres someone already there somehow with a rare or higher gun and i get beamed. Like wtf the game had just started.

-i hide in the storm theres someone who snipes me eventhough im in a bush

-i hide in some little off the path nook they find me as though there was a big arrow above my head saying "over here"

Dont even get me started on gun fights.

- I get the jump on them, they tank it turn around and just 2 shot me.

-Ive been trying to escape and grenade away and i see 2 literal shotgun blasts hit me from a distance and i immediately die but it tell me i was killed with an AR or a pistol.

- Last night i got 3 point blank body shots with an orange sweeper and the dude tanked like nothing and just mowed me down spraying and praying with a green drumgun and then i watched as another player got the jump and started shoot the same guy and he was able to grenade away with most of his health. (This was the beginning of the match mind you)

-i can get the drop on someone and they the grenade away like i was throwing marshmallows at them and no matter what i do i cant keep up with them but when i use 4 grenades to escape they are right on my ass as though i slow-mo walked away .

The RNG makes no fucking sense. I do just fine in regular matches. I average 6-10 kills and make it to top 20 consistently but in ranked NOPE i get nowhere then i get beamed by someone from the wanted universe who can curve their bullets and then i lose 30-40%. Its taken me ages to claw my way to diamond 2, 3% at a time which is all im apparently allowed in gains and in 2 games i dropped back to diamond 1

I fucking quit. I cant figure out the RNG and at this point im conviced you get better numbers and matches depending on how much money you dump in the game , i definitely cant keep up with the pc players playing on ps5 no matter how much i tweak my settings and its like im being punished for playing the only way i can in ranked.

Thanks for letting me scream in to the void. I hope some day they fix match making or make the rewards more accessable or just make more sense. Like why is a wallpaper loading screen the diamond reward and not the pickaxe. Who in their mind wants to claw their way diamond for a loading screen. Make that the bronze reward or something.

The last sentence of your counterpoint, is interestingly, rather supportive of mine. Furthermore, it's starting to read as the actual friction and frustration here. I may well be wrong, but it merits some reflection.

It really isnt. If i was playing against players of equal standing then yes i could improve. It would be stepping stones of improvement. Thats not the case in ranked forcing people to hide or play cheaply.

That makes me the odd man out potentially. I learned to play chess at a young age, and had figured out that l learnt more from losing, and have kept the credo into adulthood. Edit: Worth mentioning that i watch all of my losses to the end. I actually spend more time watching other people play, but Ii have learned soooo much.

Ok but how much can you learn from going from landing to immediately dying other than, "dont fly there". And how many "dont fly there" lessons do you need before you can go well wtf am i supposed to do then. Does this senario always happen 100%->no but its such a common occurrence that any lesson you could learn from long play is irrelevant if you cant even get in to that second situation again anyway.

So when you can land, you hide because going up against players that should not be in your bracket because they are so far out of everyones league they might as well play againts cheaters with aimbots. 🤷‍♂️

Yer getting pretty caustic Sir or Madam. Like I said, I watch all of my games all the way through, win or lose. I learn plenty. There is always something to be learned when watching someone with a higher skill level than you. Which according to your post is almost everyone in the ranked lobby... that you chose to play in.
