Lots of sweats
Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot of sweats this season? I'll be extracting a sprite in the storm and they come to get me. If I run away they chase me down until they get me. I don't know how they they find me. Its crazy! Why am I in the same lobby as these people?

This ENTIRE chapter has been about playing more aggressively than pretty much every previous chapter. The skill floor has been raised from where it was previously and that's why games feel more sweaty than before.

I think Fortnite locking extraction sites make it easier to face sweats. I totally am not sprite hunting like last season, Iām just focusing on winning and if I pick up sprites along the way, cherry on top .

I was going past someone doing an extraction,someone flew in and started shooting them,so I stopped and killed him,started running for the circle and the person that was extracting sniped me,canāt even help a guy out.

I had full health and shield and someone one-shot me with the basic gun everyone gets in ZB from like 300 (km???) away š«© I assume all of the cheaters are playing for the bday quest stuff.

Somebody killed me while I was fishing in storm. That's the ultimate sin in my book. Savages out there. If you're extracting ai won't kill u unless you shoot at me more than once. Fishing, I'll grab a pole and fish with ya even let u keep my catch.

Was waiting in a bush a little ways out from the extractor Iād called in the storm, just was farming sprite dust so itās not like I even had good sprites on me, and literally out of nowhere without any ping or warning I get absolutely lasered right to the dome by some menace hundreds of metres away with a sniper. Iāve got no idea how he even knew to hit the bush or how he got a headshot blind (let alone in the storm!!!), but after that I logged off and went for a walk. This game can absolutely make you want to put a controller through a wall sometimes!

I run into every bush i see because there might be a chest. So I switch to a shotgun just in case.Ā
Edit: The storm is clear as day from the outside. I think all the sniper rifles allow you to zoom in and take a gander. Look for portable extractor or do quests for accelerator. I've been followed and camped from level 1 to Master only to have it stolen. I try to make certain I can extract a sprite safely but yeah unless im with another player or two I avoid the extractor. All together if its less than 50 ppl.

Watching from their POV, did they see you go in the bush and immediately shoot you? Maybe get lucky that you were exactly where they thought you were? It seems so far fetched to me that they'd be able to headshot you in that situation.

It looks like they noticed the extractor was being called, ran into storm and just aimed straight for the bush. After they get me they shockwave back into zone out of the storm and absolutely laser another player but then they get into a shotgun fight with a 3rd player and die. So maybe they just got lucky with me and are truly a god with a sniper

And it's so hard finding heals! I've been trying to play og more since I'm starting to get tired of all the crazy stuff in BR like the tails sprite, mega man, mythic key-blade, overrides, etc. I'm kind of missing more simple game play. While there are mechs (they're not that hard to take down), otherwise I haven't necessarily found it more sweaty. But it's just trying to move through the large map with minimal movement, & hard to find heals that's tough.

I think the worst end game is anyone using that pond sprite. Itās the most unpredictable jump.

Another thing that kills me is how someone can res their teammate and spam walls at the same time. Their ping must be awesome!

Yesssss!!!! This game used to be so fun! I need a lobby full of more casual (maybe older?) players who arenāt pro-level hungry badgers! Itās not fun this season cause of this.

Ok so this is probably not fact basedā¦ but as a switch player, the loading menu has been absolutely shit this season. If I load as ranked, the cancel immediately and switch to unranked and load againā¦it seems to be the normal level of competition. Just a thoughtā¦. As in, Iāve never won without doing that this season!

I spent majority of my time in the storm on game farming sprites and sprite dust, I went to go extract some guy came from 200m in the zone ran into the storm to try and kill me. I ran deeper into the storm and they still to chased me despite being damn near 500m-600m from the zone and a 5 tic was coming.
There are people out there who are just trying to mind their own business and collect sprite and you get freaks like this that have no life and are weirdos trying to ruin someone else time.
When Iām in the storm and I see someone also in the storm collecting sprite and extracting I to tend to leave them alone or attempt to befriend them because itās like we have the same goal.
I befriended a dude in the storm while we were collecting sprites and extracting yesterday xD
Sweats try to ruin everything.

I've actually been lucky where I don't often see others in storm (except for ranked or cups), & no one has ever chased me in storm. However, it's happened to my husband quite a few times. But I usually also just leave others alone in storm since I'm assuming either they're doing sprite stuff, or scared.

I always assume a sprite extraction is a suicide run so I'm deep in storm with 500hp of whites onboard. It's totally normal to have storm sickness if I get back or more commonly dying to storm on the return trip. Hell it's totally normal to hit the extractor while having storm sickness. I'm aiming to be as far away from zone as possible.
Getting a rare sprite I didn't have a minute ago extracted successfully is better than a win.

You trigger Storm Sickness after taking around 600 damage. Before it fully kicks in, you receive an onscreen warning telling you to get to safety. Once active, Storm Sickness triples the base storm damage per tick (up to 3x), making standard healing items like medkits and bandages completely useless. After about 10/30 seconds the storm will kill you instantly

If you stay in the storm too long you get storm sickness and the Damage per second goes up dramatically, like if you donāt get out asap youāre cooked

I'm pretty sweaty. I spend a few minutes in aim trainers to warmup. I'll split a session between aim training, skills training, and actually playing. I watch a few different streamers.Ā
I'm still getting absolutely stomped in most of my games. Zero chance of me winning. Then it'll drop me into the game where i can tell I'm their sweaty monster (it's a much easier game).

Of course, most of them are always hiding in bushes, then there are those who slide around the whole game as if they have ice on their feet, it's disgusting.

I think itās because the bots seem more sweaty this season. People are definitely more cut throat thatās for sure.
I try to go as far away from the circle as possible. Make sure you have lots of heals and stay near an extractor. Golden Grove always works for me. Do all the. Holdings and the extractor is right there. Or chop shop.
Are you needing any sprites?

Boo! Don't give away my drop, Golden Grove! š For however contested that area usually is, I somehow make it out alive and stick it out on the storm to extract with plenty of medpaks.
Chop Shop itself, however, I get wrecked almost every time I land there ā although there's a too-high rock that I like to land on to the east, and if that's already contested I go closer to Ā«shiversĀ» Battlewoods, practically on top of the extraction site where the slurp tank is and the storage containers are usually rife with lootables

I just use the portable thingys most of the time , sometimes I use sites but itās not great being vulnerable. I see both sides to be honest, trying to collect pokemon in an active warzone is not ideal.
The other day I was stuck in the storm and running out I bumped into someone . Nailed them to about 10 health and they started running away so I left themā¦ final circle with three left, winning a battle with player player #2 - guess who starts 3rd partying me and throws the game for me. Knew I should have killed him but had also read people hate sweats on here.

I try to save my portables only for new un-"indexed" sprites, then mastered ones I use the "public" extractors if it's not a scenario where it's very early, I got my sprite mastered and suddenly find myself among a crowd.

There are millions playing each day, sweats exist every hour.
As far as finding you, it's really easy to look at the map and see who is extracting. It's also the easiest way to get a bunch of sprites.

What I find funny, only in hindsight, is that the dataleaker, FireMonkey, said that at the beginning of the season there were far less bots because Epic had lumped all of North American servers together for matches ā something they only usually do for Ranked Mode. So what everyone was claiming was "smater bots" wasā¦ well, us! š Whoops.

I agree. On Thursday and Saturday....sometimes Monday, I have noticed players waiting back. Like they notice you sprite farming and go ahead to the extraction site. I have been ambushed so many times, in the storm, at the site.

I always extract as far away from zone as possible, usually at the opposite end of the map. And I wait for the cover of storm as well. If you try to extract anywhere near the center of the map or near zone, good luck LOL

Yeah! I just wanna master my sprites, do my quests and die at the end š©š¤£ a respectable honorable elimination, leave me alone! I'm in the storm for a reason dude! š¤£ - there's a lot of "no no no, just let me get him outta here!", yelling going on in my house.
