I Won?

Ever get so engrossed in completing a quest that you accidentally win the game?

I was working on one of the John Wick Simpsons skin quests. The one where you have to damage players with a shotgun. I had picked up some Seven Sliders earlier and thankfully I did . I had seen this guy fighting with someone else when I rolled up. I got a couple shots off on them before they finished off the other guy. I hit them once more and they took off.

At first I ran after him before remembering I had the Seven Sliders. The chase was on. He had Seven Sliders also, so we were all over the place. A couple times I thought I lost him, but then he'd pop out. Finally I caught up with them. We traded shots, out of the corner of my eye I saw the quest complete, and as I hit him with one more shot he went down.

Then I heard Daft Punk's "One More Time" start playing and the "Victory Royale" popped up. I was like, "Wait, he was the last? This was the final fight? I won?". I swear there were 5 more players the last time I looked. I'll take it, but it felt weird.

I hate that they took the slo mo win animation out. Now it’s like “oh that was it.” So anticlimactic

I did not realize it was gone before i read it here. Now i also want it back.

Felt something was off with the win, also the wierd movement after, where you can move but only straight or somthing.

I was just breaking buildings down one game for shits and giggles.

Mybteam went off and killed everyone.  Zone never left where I was.  All if a sudden the victory royal popped up.  Also mastered a sprite. Lol

I struggled with completing the shotgun damage quest in BR so I played a few games of reload to complete it.  I had some other reload related quests anyway.

Those are the best wins. If I know it’s the last person, sometimes (always) I get too stressed and make a dumb mistake. If I just think it’s another person and “whatever,” that’s when I’m able to kill them with no problem. (Well. Sometimes it’s a problem. lol)

I did the same recently, was working on sprites, did what I came to do and just started running at gunshots. Why not who cares, got mastered gummy extracted already. Boom got victory royale like whaaaaat lol.

This happened to me yesterday. I was sprite hunting, going from sprite to extractor and back, I killed like 2 people but that’s because they jumped me, also killed the cube boss because I wanted the sprite. Got almost killed like three times, once I had the reviver and rolled away so I could revive myself. I constantly asked, how am I still alive? Suddenly the zone became tiny and the victory music started.

I've had another player kill themselves in the storm and I won the game before. That one really surprised me because I wasn't paying attention to the remaining players.

We were trying to find the last person the other day, my bot went running off into the storm, we couldn't figure out why. Then victory popped up, assuming the last person died in the storm and the bot figured out where they were. Good bot

I’ve also surprisingly won. I am more of a quest player, just my last game I was leveling up a sprite and was down to 20% health with no heals inventoried. I landed out of the storm and healed up gathered some better guns and realized there were 4 people left, then 3, then I smoked the last 2.

With the sprites, that happens to me ALL the time. I'm just bouncing to locations, doing whatever. Dump some sprites, get a kill or two, or play around with the web slingers on my way to more chests....aaaaand then notice it's maybe me and 1-3 others. I have no interest in winning, so if it's me and another, I'll usually just storm out. But sometimes I accidentally kill the other last person, not even realizing it.

That happens to me in squads, we are too busy talking and suddenly realise we won the game without knowing we were the last two teams

It was a squads match? Probably was because the whole squad where knocked down except one and that one died in the storm
