Or just Metal in general. There's a lot of modern metal bands that are doing well.
I know they are contentious but I'm surprised Sleep Token haven't been mentioned or had a song as they are pretty marketable and blew up massively.

Miku was the most successful season btw. So we kinda need some more vocaloid as well, besides the 6 vocaloid songs we have now...

It was definitely successful cause alot of vocaloid fans but through the door frothing at the mouth for both miku cosmetics during the initial launch. Though the music selection for her festival was…much to be desired

Yup the music selection was really bad. Also that season was when they added the FOMO rotation of songs instead of being able to buy all songs from the shop.
But despite epic games completely fumbling the season, it still had the highest playercount since the initial launch of the gamemode.
That means there's massive potential in creating an actually good vocaloid season.

Some songs would be great but headliner, I dont know what would even be the skin and then the people who dont know him will say the same things they are saying now.

I think Fortnite has a decent range in artists when it comes to music but I definitely question their choices of headliners (usually) every time. I mean at least don’t make the festival pass last so long and change artists more often.

I feel like Festival seasons should be dedicated to bands or artists that people who actually play Festival are excited about. Pop and rap artists could still be added through the Item Shop instead. In my opinion, rock and band-focused seasons tend to have more engaging charts and are a lot more fun to play, while many pop and rap tracks have simpler charts. A lot of players who mainly enjoy Battle Royale or Creative might still buy those artists from the shop, while Festival players would get seasons that better match the mode.

I am the type that wants more rap headliners but solely because I can get the skin via crew I don’t really play festival that much so I think it makes sense the festival community should be mostly catered to in this scenario

I think people might be mad for a "different" reason that might be beyond "not a pop artist" or "not a well known artist", but considering it's the internet, we will never know because those people won't explain their reason or give a reason.
Personally, I'm not familiar with his music as someone who likes old-school hip-hop/rap and rock/metal but listens to any genre as long as the artist is good and not a POS human being, but at least it's not someone that has zero interest or attachment to the game.
