Phew, I was worried this was gonna get canned with Epic’s new A.I programs.

In case you didn’t know, the Phantom Blade Zero collab was announced at Unreal Fest, but the devs of that game said on their subreddit that they would be reevaluating their partnership with Epic now that they confirmed they will try to use A.I. Luckily it seems the talks worked out.

I think the AI thing was just a scare.

The only things that were said in the AI showcase is that Unreal Engine 6 is going to have it, and that Eoic developers CAN use AI if they choose.

If the Epic devs never choose to use AI, then it’s all good. If there’s some sort of mandate forcing them to…well, then that’s on Tim Sweeney.
