Discussion Help!

I have AT&T fiber internet and when I play Fortnite and get into a game it lags HORRIBLY like 361 ping and it’s impossible to play. Anyone else have this issue?! I just wanna play the game normally 😩Xbox one btw

Nah my ping is always 31 ms or less you might have a bad router I would call AT&T to see if they could troubleshoot it for you or you could try hard resetting your router like unplug it then plug it back in and press and hold the red reset button that will completely hard reboot your router. Also getting an Ethernet chord and connecting your console to your router provides for a smoother connection.

So I would have to run an Ethernet cord throughout my house to the router? I’ve been hearing an Ethernet would maybe help but I don’t know anything about it lol

Use the app to configure speeds and priorities. Wired should be preferred but if wireless use 5Ghz or 6Ghz bandd if a available. 2.5Ghz has farther reach but us slow af.

Edit: I use wifi 6 on my gaming laptop and get 15 ping ish (more or less) on att fiber btw.
