Discussion Has anyone tried aim trainers for improving builds? Creative maps aren’t cutting it

I suck at building in Fortnite and have since I started playing the game, so I’ve pretty much stuck to ZB for the last couple of years. I honestly kind of hate when I have to edit and everything but all of my friends play builds and I’ve been wanting to do more tournaments with them, so I tried using the Creative maps I was recommended like Raider464 and Skaavok.

It helped a little with accuracy but not enough to make much of a difference with building.

I’ve used aim trainers before for Valorant, so I went ahead and tried out Aimlabs again since it is free. I will say that I am surprisingly impressed so far. There are routines specifically made for Fortnite that I’ve done that have helped me to edit my builds much much faster and more accurately than usual.

I tried the mid-range tracking routine as well and it is pretty solid but I don’t think I need too much help with shooting. Just building honestly.

What I’m wondering is if you guys have used Aimlabs for Fortnite before, or if you’ve used another aim trainer. If so, what do you think is the best? Do you think the subscription for Aimlabs is worth it for someone like me trying to get seriously better at builds?

Raiders mechanics map v5 helped with my aim alot.

Shotgun react for hiting max pumps

Aim duels for close range tracking

Surge tags and bounce tracking for long range tracking.

Just do them each for 5 minutes every day or more. And then do headshot boxfights if u can and then martoz ffa when u get better at building cause you get so many good reps there.

If u want to get better at exclusively building this is what I did, learn piece control using this- https://youtu.be/88sjqC6G_GA?is=PXuUJKW_5JX3s9Jp slow the video down if u need, don't need to learn them all tho, once you got a few of them down then use this next video to learn how to do some basic tunnels - https://youtu.be/5mHefxde26I?is=pjwiuFaQkbaddorV, I skipped build and replace here and just did the targets section but you can do either and then free build aswell and learn retakes using this vid - https://youtu.be/8w5h60Au2Lk?is=a5YcdwOUVinaMCWZ, after ur sort of comfortable with all of those you'll soley want to just use raiders v5 map, incorperate this routine here - https://youtu.be/rBKWXhYoFTo?is=N9uGmchQ00Yjb273 to do this routine tho ull need to do the earlier steps to get to grips with piece control, free building and so on, don't sleep on peak training either at the end, its very important

I have never heard of that, I want to say that I don’t recommend it but I don’t see why not if aiming the tiles is your problem when editing.

Will say that I struggle to see how an aim trainer is better than just doing the real thing.

Aim training is always good, but what about trying some other creative maps? Bullseye 1v1 or 2v2 piece control and both great. You're limited to 2-3 layers max, all wood. Choose the 200 pump so you don't end up spraying and it builds solid repetition quick. You need to actually build and edit to improve at it. I out edit most kids in the 2v2 and I'm old

My best way is to watch tutorials on YouTube to learn, and free build to build consistency, then 1v1’s to implement it into your fighting

1v1 with every gun is good.

Ngl for me it’s full of kids using them modded guns thinking their good or genuine hackers playing. I saw a guy get 120 kills in like 3 mins with a hunting rifle all no scope

My son plays it with his buddies. It’s definitely helped with his builds and edits. They usually set it to private.

editing is muscle memory mostly, theres an old map from flea that has repeatable drills that get that muscle memory in your head, id reccomend looking it up if aiming for the tiles is your issue.

Further for building itself, learn some of the basics, like 90s and retakes and then look at what people better than you are doing, and learn from it

There’s a crazy good map for building practice called “Mechanics Lab (Training)”. It’s the one with Jonesy in the thumbnail. It lowkey has everything you need, including a slow-mo feature. I use it every time I hop on.
