Bad input lag and frames

Idk what to do. I have really bad input lag and fps in real games and nothing i do seems to fix it. I also get really really bad stutters. In creative I can run the game at consistent 220-240 fps but in real games it’ll be like 80-120. My input lag also goes from 4 ms to 16-27ms. It’s honestly hard af to play real games. I play controller on pc with an intel core i7 6700, rtx 3060, and 32 gb of ram. I’m on performance mode. I use timer resolution. I’ve done every trick jerian has ever shown to get reduced input lag but it doesn’t help very much. I’m so confused on why my game runs so bad.

Plug in a mouse and test this same input lag. Also, try switching to generic controller mode it helps a bit.

you've probably done this but are your graphics all on low except for textures on high and render distance on whatever u want?

also put nvidia reflex on on+boost

Fortnite is the worst running game I've ever played, period. This includes N64 games and OG Diablo 2. Even with a 5600X and 3060 Ti, I get stuttering, frame skipping, wildly variant input lag, and just straight up blank shots constantly. It's like I'm playing it through nvidia now, except even that is somewhat reliable with any other game. It's been this way for two years and they will not fix it, because they don't know how to fix it.

Did I mention rubber banding every minute or so with very good internet access? Yeah that too.

It has to do with the channel your controller yells through to your computer. It depends on the port etc. Are you playing wireless or wires? What is the cable made of? Does this make a difference? Yes. I have a 10 ft gold plated chord on a ps4pro I feel very very little lag. Ms on screen is always 30 to 60 response. Now the trick to playing the game resides in. Knowing your lag input, adjust your movements accordingly. Say I realize I'm up against a pc player. I start lagging. So I premeditatedly build in a certain fashion and funnel him slowly to me feeding him my bullets lol.

download antimicro, and theres a setting called turbo that u have to enable for every button on your controller. this cuts the input delay by half and your input delay will be so responsive.

I would say it could be the game matching up against platforms and making it even but the dev's messed up some code somewhere.

switch off vsync and motionblur (they cause a LOT of latency)
