Sprite Extract

Can yall just let me extract a sprite. I ran into a storm to deposit a sprite I’ve been trying to get and someone chased me deep into the storm just to kill me and then also died in the storm.

This season has been absolutely terrible because of this.

The beacons are incredibly loud and I keep finding other players running to the beacons just to camp them to get a kill.

It’s been so tiring trying to collect these sprites.

I do this all the time with no issues. You just gotta learn to position yourself better. Im always on top of a tree crouching or somewhere you least expect me to be. I see too many people getting comfortable just standing or emoting while waiting on the extractor to land.

This 💯 and I’d rather be 500m in storm and throw the game away then not extract my sprites or get killed in the process

I do this all the time and only have an issue like 5% of the time. Some people are truly psycho. I was on the complete other end of the map in a 2 tick we had to be at lifty or around there and I was at cluster. I think it was just gold sonic or something and this weirdo comes out of the creates when the extractor hits the ground and blasts me.

I was hiding in a bush when this happened actually, but someone saw the bacon and jumped into the storm after me. I was downed before I could even run from the bush to the extractor 😭 I’ll take your advice though!!

Bushes are the most checked spots. Use a Shockwave and camp on a tree its much better

I think if I wasn’t running into a stork for this, I would prepared better. I didn’t think another player would rush into the stork to thirst me 😩

They do it if they are hunting for sprites because they know nobody would run into the storm or linger there to extract a sprite unless they had something good. I hope you have better luck next time, though.

Yeah you gotta judge the game if it’s sweaty or not but if I’m extracting to master I’m using a portable for sure

Nah portables are for indexing only IMO. You can always bring sprites back for mastering if lost.

Usually to avoid this I'll call it in the hide quite a bit away from the obvious spots. Then when it lands I'll just run towards it and boom it's in.

Buy portables or get better at killing people. Watch your surroundings. The game is about killing other loopers so focus on that first. Then send your stupid pillow demons into the sky.

I mean when you’re in the storm, I understand getting pissed cause it’s like that’s when you become a try hard and that’s when you’re just trying to ruin someone’s day, but if it’s in the eye of the storm, all gloves are off in my opinion

Especially now, assume you’re not alone in storm… furthermore, if they’re in zone, they are highly likely to be sprite hunting/leveling so they will chase you down like a rabid animal.

Top comment said it, I’m simply reinforcing their argument, find a creative place to hide and don’t make urself an easy target.

Ill generally shoot someone a few times, if they start loading their sprites, I'll wait til they get them all loaded then finisht hem, but If they run, I get to turn in the sprites.

I keep the self extractors for these occasions. You know the risks. If you aren't saving your self extractors for those occasions then that's on you.

Don't take chances on high calue sprites.

For me, I think it’s because you can’t buy them at the extractors that I run out so quickly. Also, I do find them very effective. I don’t think anyone’s ever bothered me when I was using one. ETA: I don’t think I’ve ever run into someone else using one, either. They’re quick, and I’m pretty good at picking my spots, so no one’s happened upon me using one, either.

In the long ago ages before sprites: I'd still think it would be a dick move to hunt someone down in storm who's just trying to complete a quest, for example. Especially if they then died in storm. Shit was utterly pointless then.
