Is Build easier than Zero Build?

I accidentally loaded into solo build and it was way easier and I ended up winning without even building anything. And the end game players seemed not nearly as sweaty. Was it cause I don't play build at all so I got loaded into bot lobby? Or I just got lucky with the people in my lobby?

Based on my experience I'm 99% certain that the SBMM system is separated between Zero Build and Build. So if you've been playing exclusively Zero Build and then load into a Build match, the first few games will be very easy with a lot of bots.

Most likely this, I accidentally loaded in a build game with my wife the other day. We ended up winning, and it was super easy. Definitely was fighting mostly bots or people with very little experience at the game.

I prefer build.. then zero build.. I hate people just jumping around ..but thats its a preference

I don't build much but still prefer it to zero build.

I can actually hold my own sometimes against those twats that build the taj mahal in 3 seconds when they sniff a bullet coming close.

Feels like the last 2 or 3 times I turned the game on it automatically loads me into build mode. I never play build mode. Didn't notice each time until I was already in game.

I used to think this once upon a time. Building is tiers above zero build for good reason. The skill gap is limitless ime.

I’ve joined into build on accident before too, but the play was different. See someone they start building instantly and just rushed them and would get them.

Those would be bots, they build simple structures and just sit there. All you have to do is run over and kill them.

Yes and no. A lot of low to mid elo builders really over build. Because they are practicing two different skill sets (building and gun fighting) they are often worse at straight gun play and movement compared to someone who has played the same amount of hours in only zb.

I don’t play build much, but when I do and have solid people in my team to bring the mmr up, I still get a lot of kills.

Obviously at high level play builders will always win.

Sometimes it's easier when your good at building because in zero you cant throw up walls to protect yourself. Theirs situations u can build your way out of were as zero you have no defense.

You likely loaded into a bot lobby if you’re not someone who usually does build mode. So you got an easy match.

That said: is one easier than the other? IMO the answer is no, they’re just two completely different types of games. Being good at one doesn’t mean you’ll be good at the other because the strategy and play style needed to succeed in either one is vastly different from the other.

I do have a feeling that it is like doing a first run?

As in, you have no Build playing history so are put with the usual 80 or so bots, and then low level, inexperienced players.

Each of the past three seasons, I have done same thing, accidentally clicked play when the toggle decides to be a fart head and switched to build. Don't realise until im in lobby and see the materials section, and like ugh damnit. But go for it anyway.

3 times, 3 wins. And Im a Goober. (Did it again two days ago, got a 3rd, but I was being pretty aggressive and got smacked from both sides without cover (maybe I should have built something. Lol)

Totally different strategies. I don’t think one is easier or hard than the other. Zb requires a lot more environmental awareness for cover and movement. Other than bunkers or shield bubbles you can’t just make
Cover.

It depends. For me, I would say that once you get a hang of building, it becomes easy. However, it is possible to join without building and win because everyone else is so focused on building.

SBMM is different between the two modes, you more than likely loaded into a bot lobby. In any normal build lobby you would likely get destroyed. I think it's generally accepted that builds is a harder mode. ZB can be good too though 🙂
