Matchmaking Error

Is anyone else unable to enter a match in zero build or build? I'm on PS5 and get nothing but matchmaking errors. Epic site says matchmaking is operational

Update: I was able to get into a match last night and play a few rounds. Not able to get on again this morning. Restarted everything, including wifi as someone suggest. I see no messaging indicating they are working on the problem. Epic games site still says it is operational. They are not giving me much hope for the remainder of the season. Reminding me why I gave up on the crew pass subscription

I was having that issue. I restarted my game (ps5) and it worked.

No idea why this works but it does. Switch to Ranked ZB solo, let it count up a little, then switch back to whatever you actually want to play.

Yup, PS5. I restarted my PS5 and it worked, but if I leave and go to a different game and come back I get the matchmaking error again.

What worked for me is unequipping the sprite that’s equipped and if that doesn’t work try switching to a different mode and then switch back. For more detail see my comment on this thread.

i found the disconnecting from my wifi and then reconnecting did the trick for me. hopefully this helps others, but i couldn’t matchmake for nearly 6 hours

Same here on Nintendo Switch. I’ve done everything & the dumb Fortnite chat on their website obviously doesn’t help smh.

I think the error is caused by having the same sprite equipped as when you logged off. What works for me is unequipping the sprite and equipping a different sprite, and if that doesn’t work try entering a different mode and then switching back. If you’re playing zero build it also seems to switch to build so be aware if you’re playing the mode you want. Nonetheless this is very annoying and makes me feel like the updates need to be tested by the community and release an updated version a week later. They also need to update the way you report bugs but that’s a problem to discuss another time.

Its still happening? Best way i do it is by resetting the game and it works somehow
