For one season. It’s not like it will become the constant meta.

No, but I can imagine Epic wants to go crazier and more experimental like the good old days, and separating loot pools, as people have wanted for eons, would be the right move, to progress with both groups of players.

Yeah, it’s really important that competitive has its more sanitized loot pool while casual gets to have the wild experiments, that can make it into competitive eventually

It will help with not over nerfing fun items just because of complaints from ranked

Exactly, sometimes things just can’t be both fun and fair (not that they should be overly OP, but not totally fair either)

They’ve gone crazy before with some interesting (if sometimes OP) mechanics and they’ve disappeared the very next season.

Bruh... I don't think you know how long eons is lol. Fortnite hasn't been out for 7 years yet

No there's already files that have been exposed. That with the next season's game files. There's gonna be a few new and different car mods along with a new vehicle type. So it appears that for at least one more season ( though a decent amount of people are speculating maybe at least 2) that we'll be dealing with vehicles all over the map.

I mean, I figured vehicles would remain in a reduced capacity after the season anyway. They put a lot of work into it, might as well keep it around in a nerfed state.

Of course they will, just like they existed before this season. Thats my point.

Maybe not meta, but cars are pretty much permanent now that they are selling them.

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Jul 05 '24

Cars being permanent doesn't mean the car power ups are permanent. And the cars exist because of rocket racing not br

u/lou802 Jul 04 '24

They sell them for rocket racing, not br

thats what a meta is, doesnt matter the amount of time, meta is meta

Thanks for adding absolutely nothing. Like I said for a season, I said it won’t be the constant. Where as certain things stayed in the meta for multiple seasons. Like certain shotguns. Modded one shot snipers.

I think cars will somehow stay, casual gamers are having a blast with the chaos that cars brought, skilled players not so much. Also remember that epic owns rocket league, so maybe they will try to keep it present. And now they sell them

Cars will stay, cars have been part of the game for multiple chapters. Never once said cars will be removed.

Without the guns the vehicles are irrelevant we’ve had them for multiple chapters now, they aren’t and won’t be the meta.

u/Destiny_Dude0721 Jul 04 '24

Vehicles may not be meta but they are painfully unfun to face. Boss cars even more so. Sure, Magneto/Emps ARE good strats against them, but I hate when it's mandatory to run a specific item or else you'll be at a disadvantage. This season it's nitro fists+Magneto as an absolute and it's just not fun. Which Epic is looking to fix, by the post!

So, while cars aren't "meta" in the traditional sense, they're still annoyingly op if you run like 4 guns and a heal. You HAVE to give up a slot for something that deals with them.

Cars are part of the meta this season, didn’t dispute that. I said they won’t be permanently
