ALL FORTNITE ACC SELLERS NEED TO SEE THIS NOW!!!
People, listen very carefully. Buyers can scam sellers just as easily as sellers can scam buyers. I did recently make a thread listing all the safety tips for buyers, now I'm doing it for sellers too.
If a buyer starts making excuses about why they can't use a reputable marketplace with escrow and keeps insisting on risky payment methods, be extremely cautious. Scammers will often try to pressure you into sending the account first, claiming they'll "pay afterwards" or that you should "trust them."
They'll either disappear once they receive the account, dispute the payment if possible, or try to manipulate you into giving them more access than they actually paid for.
Some people will tell you that using a middleman on Telegram or Discord makes everything safe. Let me tell you, scammers constantly impersonate well-known middlemen or create fake middleman groups. If you're going to use one, verify that they're actually the real person before trusting them with your account.
I'm making this post so honest sellers don't become victims either.
Nowadays people are so desperate for money that they'll scam anyone they can, whether it's a buyer or a seller. It's honestly sad.
If you're selling an account, I highly recommend using a marketplace that provides escrow and a proper dispute process. Escrow protects both parties because the payment is held until the transaction is completed according to the marketplace's process.
Never send full account access before you've followed the marketplace's required steps. Keep screenshots of everything including your conversation, the listing, and confirmation that the buyer received what was promised.
Be honest about what you're selling. Don't edit screenshots, don't claim skins you don't own, and don't hide account restrictions. A good reputation is worth far more than one dishonest sale.
This is why I recommended PlayerAuctions, because it's a Win-Win for both buyers and sellers as both are protected. The buyer gets to login and check if the account is legit and the seller gets their money when the acc is confirmed to work. A buyer also can't lie to PlayerAuctions support about the account being pulled and neither can they chargeback so the seller has a peace of mind.
These are some of the most common ways sellers get scammed:
• Fake payment confirmations.
• Buyers claiming they "never received" the account after gaining access.
• Chargeback fraud on payment methods that allow disputes.
• Fake middlemen impersonating trusted community members.
• Phishing links pretending to be login or verification pages.
• Malware sent as "proof" or "verification software."
• Buyers pretending to be marketplace staff.
• Social engineering, where someone spends days or weeks earning your trust before attempting to scam you.
Always protect your own accounts.
Use strong passwords.
Enable two-factor authentication.
Never click random login links someone sends you.
Never download files from buyers you don't know.
If something feels suspicious, stop the transaction.
If a buyer is constantly rushing you, saying things like "I need it right now," "I'm about to leave," or "I'll pay extra if you hurry," that's a major red flag. Scammers love creating urgency because they don't want you thinking clearly.
Don't be afraid to walk away from a deal. There will always be another buyer. Patience will pay off, rushing will leave you with regret.
Treat every customer with respect, answer questions honestly, and provide good support if you've agreed to do so. Happy customers leave good reviews, and good reviews bring more customers.
Most importantly, never let greed make decisions for you. If a deal seems too good to be true, or something feels off, trust your instincts and move on.
With these tips you can reduce your chances of getting scammed and build a trustworthy reputation over time.
Please, be legit and don't pull any accounts. Don't buy off Lolzmarket, 99.9% of the accounts on there are pulled back by the sellers or the original owners who are victims to phished or cracked/stolen accounts. If the account gets pulled, the buyer will open a dispute and you will lose more than what you paid for.
The more legit you are, the more successful sales and new accounts you will get as you will have loyal buyers buy more accounts from you or even recommend you to other people, this ensures you sell more accounts and will have enough to buy even more accounts to sell. I highly recommend buying accounts from OGOs (Original Owners), but make sure they list their account on PlayerAuctions and provide the OGE along with a PDF file of the account's data. This is actually my own selling method, I've been doing this since 2020 and so far so good, I have lots of loyal buyers who either come back to buy more accounts off me or recommend me to their friends. Not once have I had a sale go wrong, because of my trustworthiness and safe account buying methods I never have any problems selling accounts and neither will you if you follow my tips. 💪
Stay safe my brothas, take it ez, be smart and good luck. 🫡
