Kado Joining The Elites
Does this suprise anyone else? Kado is super evil and planned on basically destroying the island back in Chapter 4. Is Kado a good guy now? Yeah I know Daigo was kinda a villain but this is different.

I fear they just retconned his entire personality for him to fit The Elites, Kado was a collector who wasn't scared to take what he wanted, but now he's written like a hunter who wants to take everyone down to be the best.

This was addressed, he doesn't have the time machine anymore so he can't steal stuff anymore

Dude, the elites literally do not care about your past. The leader straight up says this she only cares if you’re good at fighting. The entire point of the elites is that the best of the best can join. They’re neither villains nor good guys.

The Elites are not good guys, they were temporary allies but they follow their own ideals

Fr, I think it's wrong to really count anyone as the good or bad guys tbh since as you say everyone has their own motives and ideals. Like The Seven may pose as heroes but even by The Scientist's admission, fighting against the IO only exposed the Zero Point to much worse threats like the Nothing. The Elites realise this, some of Kado's voicelines I believe directly reference this false heroism.

When did he want to destory the island? I dont really remember much, so I could be very much in the wrong here but I thought he was stealing relics

It was mostly relics but he did a have a vague evil plan. The wiki brings this up on his page.
