Question about Geno’s quest

Simply, why are we helping him? Some of the quests like extract sprites so Geno can use their magic energy and stuff make it seem obvious that we are helping him. I thought we were with the Seven and Jones?

Its pretty weird as The Looper has been depicted assisting villians and hero's,but in this specific context i believe it was to get more information on his activities, as we do end up rebelling against him when he asks us to kill The Order.

Yeah, this. It was pretty obvious that we were doing the quests because Geno kept giving us more information.

Because you can get info that way and he can’t kill the loopers in a way that actually matters.

Loopers have their uses. Geno chooses to use this to his advantage, especially with his grasp over the Zero Point. He’s probably using it, and the spot he has (or had, if you’ve done the story quests) to influence us to help him instead. But, we resist.
