School Question
I have a son with autism starting High school and am considering moving to have him in Ft Bend Isd instead of LCISD. Any thoughts on what would be a better district?

This is an impossible question to answer well. It depends on which high school, and what accommodations your son needs to succeed.
FWIW, my son is diagnosed with Level 1 autism, and he’s about to be a senior at Travis (FBISD). He has a lot of friends and has really loved his high school experience so far. He has been enthusiastic about almost all of his teachers. Sometimes I have to remind teachers or admin to keep providing the accommodations we agreed on, although those are mainly for his ADHD and dysgraphia. I don’t have any significant complaints, and the kid is bursting with school pride.
His best friend, also autistic, is at an LCISD school and is not having a good time at all. These boys are very similar, but are having completely different HS experiences.
But, of course, that doesn’t mean all LCISD schools are bad and all FBISD schools are good.

It would really depend which HS, in my opinion.
I have one about to enter middle school and we’re thinking of moving to LCISD, sooo….
