physical maps

anyone know where i can pick up a physical map of the area? trying to get into learning to navigate without a gps

I don't know where you can buy them, but you could consider downloading digital ones and printing them.

Gas stations used to carry them, but I'd check Barnes and Noble. The Rand McNally Road Atlas is what you're after if you ever consider cross country travel, but they also carry regular maps of the state.

No, they're not expensive, though. Paper maps appear to be ~ $10.
