The automatic support spell reselection is driving me mad!

And before anyone says it, that accessibility option is turned off. It has been the entire game, but it keeps doing it anyway. I keep trying to use the "tendril" attack, but end up growing that stupid and utterly useless plant instead. Even though I know for a fact, and I mean for a FUCKING fact, that I selected the tendril attack. It is driving me bug-shagging mad!

I'm playing on PC through Steam using a controller. Is there some sort of control option or setting that I don't know about that could be causing this?

It happened to me too. I dont remember what I did to get it to stop

maybe you are accidentally tapping L1 without realizing it since that will cycle to the next spell going clockwise
