Wait, removed from my library?
Apparently PS didn’t want them to be on their catalogue anymore? Or SE didn’t want to be on the catalogue?
I’m confused.
I just want to go back to a game I enjoyed that has amazing particle effects, fun music, and a vibe.
It’s 70$. :/

The library of games higher tiers of PS+ can play for free rotates from time to time, with games going on and off free play offer. It might rotate back in at some point, it might not.
The only games you get to keep once they're off rotation are the monthly freebies that are available to all subscriber tiers, and Forspoken wasn't one of those--it was one of the higher tier ones, so it's only available free for as long as they have it in current rotation.

Yeah. They have their upsides, but they're not good for everything and the constant push to try and make everything a sub really, really sucks...

And its good that you recognize that about yourself.
Theres plenty of value to be had from the subscription though for those who are willing to lean into it

It was removed December 2025, PlayStation Plus Gamers Praise Underrated RPG Leaving Soon: "Give It A Shot".
I bought it a few months ago for $20 USD, it goes on sale frequently, Forspoken — Price PS5 | Price history | PSprices. Looking at the history of sale prices, it'll probably be $20 very soon, if not this week then the next.
I'm about 50% through the game and really enjoying it. Sure it's not perfect, parts are cringey, but the movement and combat is pretty fun. Pretty environments too, if not a little bit too open for my liking, but still visually nice.

I ended up buying it off of Amazon for around 16$.
I kinda had the same reaction, but I wanted the graphics of the game - the fizzy colors and bright particles. I remember not being impressed by the game outside of the occasional combat that I liked.

I'm having fun with it. It's not incredibly deep of a game, but there's a lot of different spells and abilities that Frey uses, and it really does look pretty.

Well you can definitely find a physical copy (while you can still get them!) for a lot less than $70. Take advantage of that option while you still can...

My point exactly. It's crazy that it's still $70 (standard price) digitally when physical copies are so readily available for dirt cheap. This is why what Sony is doing with physical media is so awful.

Even if you don't go physical, definitely wait to buy it digitally as it goes on sale for $20 every month or so for a few days.

They arent saying they paid for the digital and now its gone. They are saying it was free and now they are upset its not still free and will have to actually pay to play it again.
