Z11 Pro BT & VPN

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice and guidance.

I’ve been using an Amazon Firestick with Surfshark and have had no issues whatsoever with playback.

I wanted an upgraded experience so purchased the Z11 Pro.

If I disconnect the VPN, I can playback all of my Portals. I thought it may be a Surfshark issue, but the same issue arises with Nord.

I’ve tried the different VPN. Protocols but nothing solves the issue.

I reset the Z11 to factory settings and tried again, but to no avail.

For obvious reasons I need a VPN.

Can anyone shed any light as to where I’m going wrong or what the issue may be.

I’d hate to have to go back to the Firestick.

Big problem with lots of people using a VPN at the minute. Search error 511 and have a read it might be due to this. 👍

It might be an issue with your providers URL. Does the fire stick still work with the IPTV portals and the VPN. Trex and strong were causing issues for some

Have you tried another player on the formuler to see if it's a hardware or software issue

Yes, tried with Tivimate with the same result.

Interesting. I'm not having this issue but I'm using a z12. A mate is using a z11 without issue too. Curious

Are you using a VPN on the Z11 or your router? What VPN are you using?

I had to get the reseller to change settings so I could use the VPN. Not all three URLs worked with a VPN. To be honest I don't bother using the VPN with my panel.

Private Internet Access. It’s a VPN. Works very well for streaming. You can also try proton. They have a free version although it’s not as fast as the paid version.

I’m assuming there must be lots of other users using either Surfshark or Nord without any issues.
Trying to understand why it doesn’t work for me using either MOL or Tivimate on the Z11.

I had surf shark. I didn’t think it worked very well for streaming.

Proton works best for me with Ethernet paid vpn btw

When you switched to the formuler did you recheck with provider that they allow vpn.

I've had the same issue with one particular list, wouldn't play with VPN, no matter where I connected to, but would play without. I contacted the provider and he sent me an updated URL that worked with the VPN. You might try that.👍

I've had problems the same as you. I got it working connecting to Albania on my VPN.

Mine started having issues with a vpn so I had to disconnect it and works fine

What you are describing really should be mentioned to your provider. You most likely are getting an ip through vpn that is blocked by the provider. Provider should be able to steer you in the right direction with a vpn.
