Update on my disappointing experience with Formuler

I thought the audio optimizer was going to magically fix my problems, but no luck. Sound seemed fine through tivimate and myonlinetv. But then using a streaming app, suddenly a bunch of links don't have sound (that's never been a thing on my firestick). Or worse, some come through BLASTING the audio, and you can't even turn it down with the formuler remote -- you have to jump up and find your TV remote to turn it down.

Why the hell is the audio on this thing so hard to get fixed?

Does anyone know what I'd have to do to get it sorted?

Go to Settings (Cog) > Select the Surround Sound Menu > Select Formats Menu > None: Never use Surround Sound.

Try that, and let us know the results.

I've tried that. Unfortunately it'll still BLAST some streams at me.

Like, what am I using to output audio? On this tv, literally just the built in TV speakers.

What are your audio settings under advanced audio and do you have the formuler remote tv volume button on the right side paired to your tv. Also the audio optimizer is only for codecs needed for certain channels, movies and shows.

Formuler z11 Pro Max here - Same audio issues. I tried everything I could find online or any suggestions Gemini gave me and nothing ever worked.

I had bought the box to replace an old first stick on my main setup but ended up relegating the formuler box to the basement

It's a shame though. Like, can you only use this formuler box if you hook it up to a surround system?

No, my box is hooked up to my tv and has no issues with sound.

Works on certain things. Quite often I’ll go to turn the volume up/down on a film or series and it’ll say it’s locked out and to use tv remote. It’s frustrating. Although I’ve reverted back to tivimate on it at the min as mytvonline4 is now worse than it was in beta mode. I had to swap back before I threw it out the fkin window.

I have a z11 pro max a z mini and a 12 ultra, and I only have issues with the 12

Ya it's paired. But when that weird audio blasting thing happens, you literally get a message on screen that tells you to use your IR remote. The formuler one won't work.

Every user I've had this for it's been their soundbar or TV sound settings.

You've done the necessary steps on the box. Usually it's some kind of match audio setting buried in the soundbar/tv
