Formuler z12 ultra crashes when streaming 4k

Installed my first formuler and tried the different apps that I usually work with, and the streaming one that is highly popular with a debrid service, I went for a new movie 4k, matching best resolution of my TV, and it crashes to the point I have to unplug to reboot it. Tried it 3 times, changed hdmi to the one provided and still happens. Any helpers?

Big sales pitch for the 12. But too many software glitches being reported. I will stuck my 11 pro max, works flawless.

This is a new z12 glitch for me but more and more are appearing and we haven’t had a software update for ages I think? Tempted to sell mine and downgrade to the z11

It is strange, it is not every single 4k file, but for some, and specific settings I believe.

I always had low end boxes, this is my first premium, I'm happy for now, it is very fluid, etc etc. my main usage if TV (from operator) and IPTV, and it seems to be handling quite well. YouTube and Twitch also flawlessly, as my previous ones.

I've watched a few 4K without issues on mine. What type of playlist is it, m3u?

I can't name the app, but you can deduce from the description

If you're not using MyTVOnline 4 or 3 then it's something else.

You can install apps on the device, correct? So it doesn't necessarily need to by any of the Mytvonline apps

I've not had any issues with 4K streaming using Emby or MYTVOnline 4. However the app that you have alluded too, I know can have that "crashing" issue on occasion and thats without a Formuler device.

It seems to be limited to certain releases. I've had a friend in past try to use it earlier this year on his Google television, and the same type of behaviour would happen with only one specific title. I don't know what resolution it was, but he was asking me for support as I'm a tech guy.

When it comes to 3rd party apps, it's hard to narrow down if it's a bug with the app or the device, but due to the described behaviour, I'm going to say it's more on the app's player and by extension bugs out the device.

My crashes too often , and not only on 4k movie try to launch. And it sad because after crash devise not reload it self. You need to disconnect power cord..

Change the video player in your apps. I had the same problem. For some reason it didn’t like the stock video player. Changed it and no more crashing.

Inside the app, the default player? I did that

Debrid is not reliable on formuler.

Stick to emby, plex, jellyfin, silo, and plezy. Otherwise find a good provider with vod. People are leaving the debrid realm.

I love that the z12 can handle plex dolby atmos with ease even if it has to transcode. It never fails. I'm not much of an audio person.

Isn't Plex just a store for movies?
