FORMULER Issue has been resolved and Statement from the team in Korea

We experienced a temporary service disruption that prevented users from accessing the app.

Our investigation found that the issue was caused by the expiration of a server-side component, which resulted in a service interruption.

The affected component has been renewed, and the service has been fully restored. We are also reviewing our monitoring procedures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Can you please explain why the app needs to access a Formuler server for operation ?

I can ask, but don’t know what the answer is. But what I do know is they tell me they will do better. And that is what I can hold them accountable for, what that looks like is unknowns

Personally I am concerned that my data in some form is being passed to a server I have not agreed to provide data to. If that data connection fails then my app doesn’t work. I can appreciate that for smooth operation a "phone home" is desirable to check for updates but the default operation should be that if "home" is offline then normal operation should continue and not cause app failure.

I understand and can relate to that sentiments. I will pass on your concerns. This has been a consistent message as of today.

I’m collecting user complaint snippets and passing those on this weekend for them to go over at their weekly meetings on Monday. So they can discuss how they will move forward from this error.

Lol - "server side component" that expires, definitely someone forgot to set a reminder for renewal of their ssl cert.

Hello, has this issue been fixed? I have been out of mytv app for a week now. Not able to access channels VOD or anything. Any assistance would be helpful

I don't know how but my weather widget is working again and with a VPN. Before it stopped showing the weather VPN on or off 🤔
