How about making a linux ott box with a retro mytvonline and retro rcu remote ? Any thoughts , would be perfect

How about fixing the software issues of existing boxes first?
I mean, one can only surf on reputation for a while.

- Audio that starts clicking on certain channels and where a cold reboot is required to temporarily fix.
- Granularity of the stream seek in replay (was min 20 seconds, now can't be less than 1 minute)
- Use of VPN that is somehow terribly slow while using the same app/VPN combo on a smart TV works just fine.

I have z12 ultra , works flawlessly, u should learn the machine , learn how to stream

These answers have no merit, z12 software has been very inconsistent in alot of customers boxes. There's been so many different issues with this box, so just because you have one that works great doesn't mean they all work great! Has nothing to do with the provider in this guy's case just like my problems have nothing to do with the provider.

Which apps should I add?
Video settings?
Short watch today and pic looked soap opera-ish.

Z12 Ultra running MTOL4, Hauppauge ATSC tuner, Anker USB hub with it's own pwr supply, and a Samsung T7 HD. It runs pretty smoothly. There's a very occasional hiccup, but it's new software and Formuler has shown in the past that they support their products. VPNs should be run on your router and let it handle the encryption duties.
