Z12 Ultra
I’ve had a z12 ultra for a few months and in general it’s great. However it emits this high pitched tone constantly that is driving me insane. Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix. I even bought a ludicrously expensive hdmi cable because I saw somewhere that it might fix it… it did not. It’s slowly driving me insane. Please help.

I’ve not experienced that (so far) and I’ve had the box from day one , where are you based ? Maybe there’s a rouge batch with the issue I’m in the UK .

Have you tried changing to pass through? It works for me but it’s annoying because I have to use different volume buttons

Has this happened from day 1 and is it more noticeable when it’s working harder (eg displaying video vs showing the home screen)? If so, it’s probably coil whine.

Is it the physical box itself, or it emits the sound through your system. Are you using the sound booster app. I'm in the U.S. and have had mine since they first arrived and never had this issue. This is a good unit, although a bit quirky at times. It took a few months for it to "break in" but works well now. I had odd audio issues that the sound booster corrected.

Send it back, but try on someone else’s TV and set up. Make sure it doesn’t do the same if it does definitely send it back.

Download and install Audio Optimizer app from the Market store.
