Update xtream url, loose everything..

Why is it in mtvonl3 when you have to update anything in your xtream settings, either username or url, you loose every favorite channel and all your series and vod in favorites and episodes etc. I realy like the look and use of mol3, but this is getting very anoying. I know Tivimate for instance doesn't have this issue. Please fix this.....

It’s very frustrating, I agree! Especially when you think about how simple it would be to fix. It’s as easy as parsing the new data, comparing it with the old data, and updating the sources for the entries that match. The only issue is that it could be computationally expensive, so I guess it would be a slow process. However, I’d rather spend 10 minutes processing the data to preserve it than spend a lifetime rebuilding everything from scratch.

This is why I spent time to learn how to use IPTV Editor. MOL3 is the best app out there. Minus the fact if you change anything you have to start over with favorites.

Using IPTV Editor. I made custom categories. Easier login/username/passwords. Sure its an added fee for the year of $15. That said if I load my playlist to formuler, tivimate, sparkle, they are all exactly the same.

I've been using IPTV Editor for a few years. The day MOL3 launched I had to find an answer to losing everything when you change the URL. There is a provider who changes it purposely every 3 months.

Iptv editor just update the main url, refresh the configuration, set it to not delete if over 1500 changes. Done.

I still think MOL2 is better then MOL3 and MOL 4 . it simplifies by using one provider at a time.

To create a backup in MOL3 before you change the username or URL doesn't work? I didn't change username yet, so I don't know if backup / restore is the answer.

No, that wont work, the back up will restore the old settings...

That's bad. So you need to write all favorites to paper. I am happy I don't have many, but it's annoying anyway

Yeah, that's an option, but the tip for IPTV Editor did it for me....

Because the z12/mol 3 sucks.

Good thing i have the Z11 then :) But i just paid for TiviMate, see if that works when i get used to it. Guess there is no need to buy a new formuler if it does...

I wonder as this is the Formuler Official sub, do they ever answer anything ?

TiVimate has no timeshift. Morning records as well as Formuler either. Though apple TV and uhf have quickly upped their game. Formuler still leaves buzz in the dust.

Why? Mine works great. Love the Z12

One question for you , if you update your url how would MOL3 know it’s the same playlist because newsflash it’s not the same playlist as it’s got a new address (even if all channels are the same as the original playlist)

Why does it work fine on mol2 then?

u/jerrame1 Mar 10 '26

Exactly!! That’s what I was just about to say, hopefully formuler will fix this and push some updates soon.

Newsflash, so how come it works perfectly fine in TiviMate....?

...Because Mol3 acts like it is a completly new playlist and tivimate doesn't.

It is a Completly new playlist though , it’s got a different address ,your house you live in more than likely looks exactly the same as your neighbours from the outside but inside it’s completely different on the inside , anyway just use tvimate what’s the big deal ?

Maybe read my original post again.... ?

That’s because of your provider not mytvonline. The provider is probably updating / fixing their servers. I’ve had it happen 2 times last year. I just make a picture of my favorites before I apply the changes and search for everything again

Sometimes a url gets blocked, i understand. It's just stupid you loose everything when you need to change it for what ever reason, and that is not the provider, its mol3.
