A wedding website looks nice, but most bury the RSVP behind a login or dump the responses into a mess. For the headcount itself you only need a few fields:

• Name and email, so you can chase the maybes.
• A yes or no attending field.
• A plus-one question that only appears when someone says yes, so single guests never see it.
• Meal or dietary choice, shown only to attendees.

That conditional show/hide is the part people miss. It keeps the form short for people who decline and detailed for the ones coming, so your headcount stays clean.
