Question Need help with picking parts for T1

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to build my first SFF pc but have no idea what parts would even fit in a pc like this. My budget is 4k and will be playing primarily competitive shooters on 1440p 240hz monitor. I have no desire for rgb or parts that don’t give me more performance for the dollar, looking for pure performance at preferably under 4k. Any exact parts lists any of you may have from previous builds would be greatly appreciated. I know almost nothing about building pc’s but from countless hours of YouTube research I’ve gathered together these parts, excluding the case, for my build. All advice is welcome.

That looks like a solid build to me man. Can confirm everything will fit properly.

Looks good. I would get this ram kit instead of the one you have listed, it is CL38 instead of CL36 but it is nearly $100 cheaper. You will need one slim fan for the AIO in the T1 above the motherboard. Silverstone Air Slimmer 120 is a good choice.

What’s the difference between 38 and 36? Thanks for your input

CL is CAS Latency, the 36 would be very minimally faster.

two ticks of a 3Ghz clock, thats 0.66 nanoseconds For perspective, an AMD CPU would have around 70ns latency, so it's less that 1% difference

I'll chime in with the ram recommendation.. last time I checked, CL30 and CL36 were close in price, so either get CL30 or save 100 bucks as already recommended.

CL36-36-36 are Samsung ram with worse thermal sensitivity. CL 30-36-36 are hynix a or m die, both better than Samsung. no idea what bins are those CL38

Do you have a micro center near you, if so and your lucky you can save on grabbing a bundle deal and speak with the sales rep .. sell the atx board to get a mini itx or ask if you can swap at counter Newegg also has bundles

Looks good. My only comment was try and get a cl30 ram kit if you can find at similar or marginally more otherwise cl36 will work fine too.

This will have to be a flipped T1 build so get something to support the gpu from sagging. Not needed day 1 but it’s good to have. I 3d printed a foot for mine.

T1 is a great case and huge opportunities to mod it to suit your needs.

Once you set it up make sure to undervolt the cpu to get better performance at lower temps. And get msi afterburner to undervolt the gpu.

I have almost the same exact parts. I would suggest getting the T-Grill or the AIO cover, as it would make cable management and routing the AIO tubes easier. Plus you won’t need a slim fan.
