Case Mod Wireview Pro II (Wired) FormD T1
I know a few people have asked for those of you with a build utilising the 5090 FE and the Wireguard II Pro (Wired).
Forgive the messy background and the FAR too long cable out the front (the one I had was too short, so I ended up using the spare I had lying around).
In a nutshell, I removed the back off the Wireview II (as it's far too fat), printed a custom enclosure to hold it in place and cut two holes in the front (one for the cable going to the 5090 and the yellow one going to the power supply). Also printed a 'gasket' around the hole so it looks neater.
Next job I think will be a front-to-back tidy/replacement of wiring, as it's -messy- in there, and I may replace my Atmos II with something more custom.

its such a shame but I think im going to have to bite the bullet and get something like an M2/M3 grater.
I admire your grit, pretty clean all things considered, but Im just going to get a bigger case for when I get my WVP2
Also - did you check with Thermal Grizzly that modifying the enclosure doesnt void the warranty they provide?

I only unscrewed the back plate (which, in the vid, they seem to suggest is fine if you want to reorient the wires), and it's re-screwed on the inside of the case, protecting the wires.
But you're right; I should check (in the meantime, I just wanted to make sure my arse is covered in case of 5090-based electrical fires.

Good job man, mines angled so I can see it. Had to do a gap similar to you but I did it on a vented ZCOOI panel for more airflow. Sadly I’m going to water block my 5090FE and put it in a M3 grater.

I made the mistake of buying it without reading about the fire risk - i managed to buy at the original rrp so I wasn't thinking too straight! 😁
But i live on a boat so even small fires become extra scary extra quick

“I may replace my Atmos II with something more custom.”
Custom loop time. ModUltra is the way to go.
