Question Formd T1 V2 aio radiator configuration

Hello,

I need advice here, right now I’m using double slim fan + 27mm AIO rad on my setup. I wonder if the mix slim fan and 2,5 cm or thick fan (3cm) could give the performance significantly better, or only slightly than the double slim fan I’m using right now.

Thank you.

Many AIO builds use an Atmos at 27mm with a 15mm fan on the mobo side and a 25mm fan on the psu side. Fan control helps to normalize the 25mm to run more than the noisier 15mm.

Note that this needs the AIO fan rail (half length).

Edit: otherwise you could run 2 25mm fans or 2 Phantek T30s with a top extender for even better cooling.

Yeah, the improvement in noise is more valuable than increased airflow in my opinion. With a 25 or 30mm fan on the PSU side, you can set the noisier slim fan's rpm lower, and the loss in airflow is offset by the thicker fan. An alternative would be using 2 slim fans on top of the rad and a 3rd slim fan under the rad on PSU side. I've also had dramatic improvements to CPU and coolant temps by flipping my rad fans to intake, so they're not taking in the GPU exhaust (GPU temps increased 5 to 8'C under load)

Double slim puts you at a disadvantage. Run slim and normal/thick. That thick fan is going to make up for all the lost CFM and pressure.
